Cohabitation in the sight of christian churches
HEROUT, Jiří
The Thesis deals with the problems of unwed cohabitation. It is divided into the theoretical and practical parts. The main theme is concerned with the question of marriage and family. The documents of Christian churches are applied that unanimously declare the indissolubility of marriage. Following texts are among these principal documents: Holy Scripture, the Documents of the Second Vatican Council, and last but not least the statutes of the selected non-Catholic churches that deal with the questions of Christian wedding and marriage. The practical part is conceived as a social survey in which Christians from different churches answer the questions from the area of unwed cohabitation and marriage.
Christian Education as an Education toward Values
HEROUT, Jiří
This bachelor's thesis deals with the question of Christian education and of a gradual acceptance of values. Free will and reason appear to be the principal determinants of this acceptance. In the thesis, the view of the Pope and pedagogue John Paul II is outlined which emphasizes human person because of the dignity which was given to a man by God. A value is presented here as a gift of mutual appurtenance when people are dependent upon mutual help, not for a material lust but for the fulfilment of their Christian vocation. In the thesis, this approach is presented by the Christian thinker and philosopher Immanuel Kant.
