Legal and economic analysis of adjustments of the system of building savings in the Czech Republic with an emphasis on treatment of 2011

This bachelor thesis describes the product of building savings. Further, the thesis deals with the legislative adjustments of the building savings since its origin in 1993 to the present and focuses on analyzing the impacts of these adjustments to all participants of the system of building savings. The focus of this thesis is to analyze the implications of proposed legislation in 2011 on expenditure and government revenue, product provider and for the end consumer and serves as a comprehensive macro-economic perspective on the current state of housing savings schemes in the Czech Republic. The thesis discusses the possible impacts of the approved revised in 2012 and outlines a new possibilities for building societies resulting from this treatment. The thesis also includes comparison of building savings with alternative products.
Analýza přímého bankovnictví v ČR se zaměřením na nízkonákladové banky

The bachelor work deals with single types of the direct banking in Czech Republic. I analysed both the working way of electronic (direct) banking and the security of these systems. I dealt with the low-cost banks as well and their cooperation with the classical banks. The purpose of the analysis was to determine the main differences in the direct banking of the chosen institutions mainly from the point of view of clients, customers' comfort, range of offer and the security of services. Another part of the work deals with the position of the low-cost banks on the Czech market and their development in the future.
Fundamental analysis of stocks of Komerční banka

My Bachelor thesis is concerned with the fundametal analysis of stocks of Komerční banka, a. s. By applying all parts of fundamental analyses -- global, market, firm, I will do a detailed analysis of these stocks with consideration of the relations which affect the price movement. After that I will determine the intrinsic value. Every chapter consists of both the theoretical basis that outlines the area being solved and the practical application of those methods. The outcome of this work will be investment advice, whether to buy, hold or sell those stocks. Invesment advice will be at the end of the thesis.
Project SEPA and its application

The main theme of this bachelor thesis is "Project SEPA and its application." In the first part of my work, I focus on analysis of payments systems and related terms. The next chapter is about legal frame of payments in the Czech Republic and in the European Union. I continue with description of project SEPA, its process of development, payment instruments and with its positives and negatives in recent practice. Next part of this bachelor thesis is focused on recent experiences with application of project SEPA in member states of the EU and on future goals and priorities in development of project SEPA. At the end of my thesis, I evaluate the development of project SEPA in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.
Methodology, conclusions and implications of bank stress tests of the EU and the IMF

This bachelor thesis is about stress testing of banking system, which is one of the most important tools used for assessing financial stability. Two international institutions, IMF and EU, run stress tests and this thesis describes and contrasts both methods of these institutions. Besides it points out EU-wide stress testing exercise form years 2009, 2011 and 2011 that were criticized for insufficient severity. In addition, thesis describes how financial markets reacted to the results.
Methods of bank ratings by central bank

This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of bank ratings. The main part is focused on analysis and methods, which are used by the Czech National Bank. The first section consists of basic description of bank, central bank and the czech banking system. It also includes description of other groups, which operate on the financial market and are interested in bank ratings. Next section describes in detail how the supervision of banks by the Czech National Bank work. This section is divided into two parts -- top-down approach and bottom-up approach. The last section describes legislative changes and the supervision of banks in the Czech Republic during years 2006 and 2011.
Measures used to support financial sector under European Economic Recovery Plan

This bachelor thesis deals with measures used by governments of EU member states to support their financial sectors in 2008 -- 2010. Firstly, the thesis examines reasons for the development of European bank crisis and theoretically describes main types of measures, which can be used to support financial institutions and so to solve bank or financial crisis. Secondly, the further part of the thesis deals with more detailed description of the measures used in EU and rules of European Comission related to conditions of their application. Final chapter contains the analysis of the measures used by EU member states with main focus on Ireland.
An evaluation of real GDP growth forecasts

This paper is aimed at verifying the reliability of real GDP growth forecasts for Czech Republic periodically published. Concretely the prediction of different groups of institutions have been examined. It includes analysis of forecasts for the period 2003-2011. Evaluation criteria for assessing their accuracy consist of summary statistics, directional accuracy rate and graphical illustration of avereged prediction. These evaluation methods are important for the hypothesis verification. It has been demonstrated the ability to deliver more accurate forecasts in comparison with earlier period in a specific horizon, next, a rising precision of predictions with declining time horizon, systematic underestimation of forecasts in the time of expansion and overestimation in the time of recession. At last, the conducted analysis displays that czech institutions are doing not considerably better in forecasting real GPD growth.
The analysis of investment certificates traded on the Czech market

This thesis deals with investment certificates traded on the Czech stock exchange. Firstly, the thesis introduces characteristic of basic types of investment certificates focusing on the certificates traded in the Czech Republic. The elementary features of their functions and their relations to the underlying assets are described. The profitability of each type of certificate is represented in the diagram for better comprehension. In the practical part, the investment certificates quoted on the Prague Stock Exchange are presented providing key characteristics as issue date, maturity date, issuer, subscription ratio and underlying asset. The last chapter is devoted to the profitability of particular certificates in comparison with each other and with alternative investment in underlying assets. Past experience with already paid certificates is also mentioned.
The Insurance against Computer Attacks

The subject of this thesis is the growing problem of computer crime and especially the possibility of its reduction and elimination of consequences associated with it. In the introductory chapter is broken down as the development of computer crime in the world as in the Czech Republic. The second chapter compares the possibility of insurance against computer attacks, while the insurance is offered only in foreign countries. The third chapter deals with cyberinsurance economic model and the final chapter outlines possible future development in this area.
