Palová, Iva ; Ryška, Zbyněk (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The task of the diploma thesis was to develop an architectural study of the revizalization of a former textile factory for the needs of the ZOO Jihlava. The oldest part of the building was probably built at the beginning of the 20th century, but it does not fass under any kind of protection of czech heritage. The study should include a transport solution in connection with the ZOO (with an emphasis on increasing the capacity of parkong spaces), restaurants, ZOO exhibits, interactive educational elements, congress halls, short-term accommodation, a technical background of the building, the economic and energy concept of the building, the concept of planting greenery and water management solutions. The idea of the thesis is to connect the building with the ZOO, which gives visitors the opportunity to use the restaurant and continue viewing the indoor (also winter) exhibition. This creates another separate tour route. At the same time, all parts of Modeta are accessible separately outside the ZOO area.

The topic of my Master‘s thesis is an architectural study of the reconstruction and revitalization of the former MODETA factory building, located near the Jihlava Zoo. The building is designed to have multifunctional use for the zoo. The construction program defines the building as a complementary facility to the functional complex of the Jihlava Zoo. The location is near the historical center of the city of Jihlava, along the Jihlávka river. The project was preceded by a pre-diploma project, in which I focused on the design of mobile containers for the Jihlava Zoo. In the building, there will be an animal exhibition connected to the zoo. The new section will be fully functional even in the winter season. You will find here the Water World with an exhibit of a small crocodile - the Dwarf Caiman. There will also be an Orangutan exhibit and a Night World, where mammals will have an opposite regime (night during the day). The exhibit of small monkeys is located on the 2nd floor, where there is also a 2nd observation point for orangutans. You can also observe them from a bridge that connects the building to the zoo. For zoo staff, there is a facility with offices, a workshop, and sanitary facilities. A self-service restaurant with a capacity of up to 150 people on the 1st floor serves both the public and employees, whose facilities are connected to the restaurant. The public will also have access to a congress and exhibition hall, where it is possible to create two separate events or combine spaces by sliding mobile partitions to increase capacity. The halls are connected by elevators and stairs to accommodation on the 3rd floor and the restaurant for refreshments on the 1st floor. Accommodation can be used by the public as well as educational institutions. The IQ Park is located on the 2nd floor, accessible by a separate entrance or directly from the Night World. There will be interactive equipment with animal themes and a screening room with a capacity of 60 people.

Small and medium-sized business complex Víchov
Žůrková, Anna ; Kříž, Aleš (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is the design of complex for small and medium sized businesses in village Víchov, situated in Plzeňský kraj. The initial idea was the creation of new work opportunities, which are considerably limited in the neighbouring area. The complex consists of two factory floors and an administration building, that is a subject of the project documentation. Each factory floor consists of six connectable units, which are sheathed in grey sandwich panels and visually differentiated by translucent coloured polycarbonate panels under the gable roof with a V cut out of it. Same motive is used for roof above the entrance hall of the administration building, and should evoke the first letter of the village, that the complex is situated in – Víchov. In the already mentioned entrance hall there is a spiral steel staircase, which is resolved as the architectural detail as the separate part of the thesis. For sheathing of the administration building is used a ventilated facade system from brick blocks, which in combination with painted steel and glass entrance hall evokes industry in its purest form. Flat roofs of the side wings of the administration building are designed as vegetative to minimize the loss of greenery because of building-up of the area and as a more responsible way to preserve rainwater. Complex is designed to enable easy access and transportation within and in and out of the complex not only for automobiles but also for trucks, to ensure the parking lots for workers and visitors of the complex and to enable transport by foot between the buildings with exploit of sidewalks and outdoor staircases. Part of the design is also replenishing the greenery and creating a new tree colonnade that should at least partially eliminate the noise from the service of the complex.
Autocentre VW group Brno
Hejcman, Josef ; Bílek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor thesis is the design of a car center for the VW Group in Brno. The car center includes a showroom with the sale of new cars from the brands VW, Seat, Škoda, and Audi, a spare parts shop, and a service center. The site under consideration is located in the Brno – Komárov district, between Sokolova and Hněvkovského streets. There is a planned construction of a road from Sokolova Street on the site, dividing it into two parts, with the car center situated in the larger part along Hněvkovského Street. The new road will provide access to the facility for vehicles. The proposed car center is a standalone two-story building consisting of two prismatic-shaped volumes connected to each other with a trapezoidal footprint. It is a structure with two halls made of a steel skeletal system with a reinforced concrete core between them. The halls are differentiated in terms of height, function, and color. The roof is green (vegetative) and equipped with solar panels. The showroom for the sale of new cars and the spare parts shop are located in the taller hall, which features a prominently glazed column-truss facade. This facade is followed by a Dri Design Tapered cassette system in a dark blue color (RAL 5026) at the level of the roof's supporting structure. The service area with a warehouse is situated in the smaller, more expansive hall, and its facade consists of vertically laid sandwich panels with a smooth surface in a light color (RAL 9016), and horizontally laid sandwich panels in the color RAL 5026 in columns around the doors and windows. The halls thus contrast with each other. The hygiene facilities for employees are located in the reinforced concrete core.
Cider production Víchov
Stručovský, Lukáš ; Bílek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The topic of the bachelor thesis is a proposal for the revitalization of the existing agricultural area near the village of Víchov and the creation of new production, presentation, and administrative spaces. The work is based on a previously developed architectural study from the subject BGA021. The proposed building is located on land located on the eastern edge of the village of Víchov, in the former area of the agricultural cooperative. This is a slightly sloping plot of land. According to the wishes of the investor, the proposal is in the western part of the plot, on the remaining part of the plot it is planned to build production and storage halls. The Víchov cider house and cannery is divided into three main parts. The first part consists of two smaller representative buildings, intended for the sale of goods. The second part of the complex is the main two-story building, where the administrative part, accommodation facilities and gastronomy are located. The last part is the production hall located in the northern part of the area used for the production and storage of cider. These three parts are located one behind the other on the slope of the plot and are connected by a pedestrian road. A new road and new parking areas are created in the area. The entrance to the area is from the existing road on the south side. The new road in the area runs along the eastern edge of the planned area and connects the proposed buildings. An extensive green roof is planned for all buildings, except for the production hall. The entire area is designed so that its size does not disturb the existing village development and meets the requirements for the functions of individual objects.
Cider production Víchov
Kopáč, Martin ; Bílek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to design a new multifunctional cider house and canning factory in the village of Víchov near Pilsen. The site currently contains buildings of an unused pig farm. The land is accessible from two sides: the main road on the south side and a field road on the west side. Further plans include integrating with the broader context of warehouses from the east side, however, these are not part of the bachelor's thesis. The proposed facility will serve industrial and recreational purposes, attracting visitors and cider enthusiasts to the area and creating new jobs for local people. The facility will be enhanced with three green roofs. It consists of a complex of three separate buildings, whose arrangement is based on the original terrain, similar to the current development. The buildings are connected by necks, which also serve as ramps. The runoff of rainwater is directed to a retention tank, which also serves as a water feature between the production hall and the building with accommodation, a café, administration, and showrooms. The retention tank enhances the environment of the outdoor terrace, which offers a view of the bottling and pasteurization of the cider through the glass wall of the production hall. The buildings SO-01 to SO-03 have green roofs. The first floor of the SO-01 building consists of a showroom, café, administration, dining room, and entrance to the production area through the neck. This ensures the separation of clean and dirty traffic. As it is a rural construction, wood-plastic – the most suitable combination of significance and efficiency – is chosen as the main material for the exterior shell. Combined with glass, the building complex is modern, yet acknowledges its rural function.
Small and medium-sized business complex Pavlovice u Kojetína
Koudelková, Lucie ; Kříž, Aleš (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the development of an architecture study, project documentation for a building permit and project documentation for building construction. The proposal is directly based on the assignment of the subject BGA032 Studio of architectural design IV. in the winter semester of the third year. The subject of the study is the small and medium-sized business complex Pavlovice u Kojetína. It is the revitalization of the agricultural area. The project deals with the concept of the area with a central administrative building and rentable production halls, including transport solutions, parking and technical infrastructure. The project documentation of the bachelor's thesis is prepared for the central administrative object, which ensures the representative and administrative function, together with the necessary technical background for the entire complex. The conceptual solution is based on the idea of connecting the surrounding nature with the interior and at the same time reflecting it through the glass façade, a wooden slat façade and a wooden façade. A contrasting element is a part of the façade with exposed concrete design for a visually fluid connection to the production halls.
