The content of the work is outlining the issues of social business in forestry, with the social aspect being here reducing unemployment in a community, a locality. The company employs 6 persons in workers work in a forest that compete in small-sized public contracts, so-called minitenders. The aim is to determine whether the company is competitive enough to be able to continue to fulfil its social objective, generate a profit and expand. This is determined using price calculations, which find out that due to its high wage costs the company is not much competitive and cannot stack up well enough in the market when competing for contracts.
