19th century book calendars and their bibliographical description

In the 19th century, there was a significant expansion of book calendars. During this period three standard parts within the issue were fixed. It was calendar part, literary part and the markets' calendar. According to the literary part content, there can be recognized three groups, professional calendars, professional calendars issued by a commercial publisher and universal calendars. There are some common characteristics within each type. Proffesional caalendars were issued by some club, usually just for a few years. The topic of these titles were in agreement with the club's interest. On the other hand, universal calenders were issued by some commercial publisher and they could reach up to over one hundred volumes. The third type was something in between of those two, some titles could change thein type from only professional to proffesional issued by some commercial publisher. Some of the calendars were issued in more than one parallel editions. The most common were small and large edition with the same content in principle, but different scope. Universal calendars were issued in up to 11 language editions, usually they were two, czech and german. It depended on the language structure of the readers.
