Bill of exchange as a securing instrument

The aim of this diploma thesis is to determine the nature of the securing bill of exchange through the analysis of professional literature and relevant case law. The thesis is composed of eight chapters. The first chapter deals with the issue of securing instruments in general. It presents the main amendments which have been brought to the law of obligations by the recent recodification of the private law, especially to the securing instruments. This chapter mentions the characteristics and functions of the general securing instruments. This is followed by the presentation of the bill of exchange as a specific type of the securing instrument. The second chapter is completely devoted to the bill of exchange. It examines the functions of a bill of exchange in legal relations. This chapter also contains more detailed description of an agreement that provides the bill of exchange the disposition of the securing instrument. The following chapter not only defines the term bill of exchange but also concerns with the definition of security in view of the fact that this part of the law was amended by the recodification of the private law. Music in the works of Alejo Carpentier

As the title suggests, this thesis deals with the work of a significant Cuban writer, Alejo Carpentier, especially the influence of music on the structure and the overall tone of his fiction texts. As exemplary works we chose three of his later prose works: Manhunt, Concert baroque and The Rite of Spring. The first part of the thesis contains a brief biography of Alejo Carpentier, focusing on the writer's activities and events that would represent his relation to music. In order to get a complex image of the author's literary and musical skills, the facts are supplemented with his thoughts and actual memories. In the essential part of the thesis the three selected books are presented and thoroughly analyzed, focusing again on the presence of music in the author's prose. The chapters are divided into subchapters, in order to give the reader a well structured and understandable definitions and analysis of the particular musical elements that are integrated into the books. Thus, in the chapter dealing with the book Manhunt we introduce the sonata form, give the reader its definition and demonstrate the use of the sonata form as a literary composition pattern in the text. Issues of judicial proceedings of inheritance in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis characterizes a specified field of the civil law that deals with the judicial proceedings of inheritance through the analysis of professional literature and relevant case law. The attention is especially devoted to development of the legislation, the proceedings in the beginning of this judicial proceedings and its parties, the minor included, possible discretions of the decedent with his belongings, the conflicts appeared in this judicial proceedings, the settlement of the estate in entirety, the question of the overextended asset and the selected issues of judicial proceedings of inheritance with the international aspect (Regulation (EU) No 650/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council).The thesis points out the main amendments which have been brought to the judicial proceedings of inheritance by the recodification of the private law that has been in effect in Czech Republic since 01. 01. 2014. The thesis was composed by the method of description with elements of analysis and synthesis. The individual legal institutes are described, analytically examined and evaluated. There are presented their mutual connections and the view of the problematic as a whole. The comparative method was used as well by evaluating the present legislation with the former one that was in effect in the Czech Republic until 31. 12. 2013.
The Concept and Types of Bills of Exchange and Promissory Notes

This bachelor thesis characterizes a specified field of the law of bills of exchange that deals with the concept and the nature of the bill of exchange, especially from the point of view of its classification into the system of securities, with more detailed focusing on the requirements of the bill of exchange, its parties and its classes through the analysis of professional literature and relevant case law. The thesis points out the main amendments which have been brought to the law of bills of exchange and the law of securities by the recodification of the private law that has been in effect in Czech Republic since 1. 1. 2014. The thesis was composed by the method of description with elements of analysis and synthesis. The individual legal institutes are described, analytically examined and evaluated. There are presented their mutual connections and the view of the problematic as a whole as well.
