Scouting in Nová Včelnice and Kamenice nad Lipou in the first half of the 20th century
BEDNÁŘ, Sandrik
This thesis deals with scout organization in Nova Vcelnice and Kamenice nad Lipou in the first half of the twentieth century. The first chapter of this thesis describes the relation between previously named towns, which were part of the same region in that period. This relation is also reflected in the structure of local scout units. The next chapter focuses on a problematics of founding new scout units in Nova Vcelnice and Kamenice nad Lipou and also about the influence of other regional centers. An important part of this thesis is an analysis of everyday activity at scout units, especially the involvement of their members into the public affairs. The final chapter reflects how scout ideology affected two chosen scouts, Emanuel Truhlar and Frantisek Sadilek, who died during the Second World War fighting Nazis. A closer look at their sacrifice is also a part of this chapter.
