Society´s perception of disabled people from a social worker´s point of view.

This thesis looks into a social worker?s perspective of society?s perception of disabled people. It points to different kinds of attitude towards various disabilities distinguished by the cultural backgrounds and various types of physical disabilities. The thesis also deals with prejudices, social stigmas and social norms. The research part presents experiences and opinions of social workers who are in direct contact with disabled people and the public.
