ZVS/ZCS converter for induction heating
Gadas, Jan ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Theumer, Radek (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of high-frequency inverters with low-loss switching applied as an induction heater. Four known inverter topologies are presented in the thesis. The aim of the thesis is to select a suitable topology on which the induction heating will be implemented according to the theoretical knowledge found and subsequent simulations. The result of the semester thesis is a functional low-power model of an induction heater implemented on a PCB. The result of the bachelor thesis is high-power model of an induction heater for industrial use. Functionality tests and comparison of measured data with simulations are performed for both. For industrial induction heater, a melting test was performed with analysis of element content on spectrum analyzers to demonstrate use.
Stereo audio amplifier with class D and SD modulation for laboratory measurements
Kováč, Martin ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the technology of amplifiers with sigma-delta modulation. The primary aim was to the design and testing of an amplifier with sigma-delta modulation and its use in laboratory exercises in the subject BPC-AUD. In the power part, the SSM3302 stereo amplifier from Analog Devices is used, which uses three-layer output sigma-delta modulation. This amplifier will deliver output power into a 4 load. Part of the work is the design and construction of a control block consisting of a correction amplifier controlled by digital potentiometers from Arduino nano.
Low-frequency electronically adjustable active load
Vaněk, Petr ; Theumer, Radek (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
SBachelor thesis deals with the design of an active electronic load for DC and AC input signals. The PSpice simulations are used for verification of mentioned modes of the electronic load operation and the principles of their functions. The main content of this work is the design of low frequency active electronic load, design of control performance and verification by it‘s simulation, preparation of production documents, completion of prototype and experimental verification.
A device for demonstrating the function of oscillators with fractional-order elements
Walach, Vít ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This bacherol thesis deals with fractional-order elements and it’s application for RC oscillators. The aim is to carry out simulations of two different oscillators using fractional-order capacitors and then design and manufacture a device demonstrating the function of the selected oscillator. Several methods of approximation of constant phase elements are described in this work, including their circuit realization for Foster and Cauer structures. The selected RC oscillators are modeled numerically in Matlab, as well as simulated in Pspice, so that the results of both simulations can be compared. The presented oscillator with two constant phase elements is implemented on a printed circuit board. At the end of the work, the results of experimental measurements are presented in comparison with simulations.
Extraction of impedance model circuit parameters and its emulation
Laboratory task dedicated to filters with switched capacitors
Čipl, Jan ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Petržela, Jiří (advisor)
This semestral thesis deals with the issue of analog frequency filters, their division and voltage transmission characteristics of filters. Furthermore, this work is focused on the description of filters operating on the basis of switched capacitances. This work also includes simulations, which are the first draft of a laboratory preparation for teaching. The simulations were performed in the Orcad Pspice program
Low-frequency active threshold-less voltage detectors
Litovska, Anna ; Theumer, Radek (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with various solutions of the active topology of voltage detectors and rectifiers that do not use diodes. Specifically, it focuses on discrete detectors with multipliers and voltage-to-current converters, a discrete peak detector with transconductors, and an integrated RMS detector with an AD734 multiplier. This thesis includes theoretical design of parameters of circuits for required features as well as verification by computer analysis (PSpice) and experimental measurement. This work includes documentation for construction of the product, including the block arrangement and the design of the printed circuit board.
Complete implementation of pulse oximeter
Doležal, Lukáš ; Kaller, Ondřej (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of a pulse oximeter. The resulting device allows to measure human blood oxygen saturation and heart rate in a non-invasive way. Easy portability is enabled by battery power supply and the used colour graphical display ensures clear display of the measured data. The paper describes in general terms the principle of pulse oximetry, a description of the chosen electronic components and the firmware developed to ensure the device's operation. Verification of correct operation was performed by comparing the measurements with similar devices available on the market.
Comlete design of class D power amplifier
Bistrý, Jan ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Petržela, Jiří (advisor)
In this bachelor's project was at first described a principle of class D power amplifiers. There was performed a characteristic of particular blocks. In the concrete steps were described particular solutions of these amplifiers with PWM driver, amplifier as an IC chip and were described advantages of this topology. It was performed an overview of the modern integrated amplifiers which are currently available. According to further requirements of this bachelor's project were designed a scheme and a board of printed circuit for this amplifier. In more details were described possibilities of output LC filter and performed its simulation. At the conclusion of this project was performed a laboratory measurement of realized amplifier which verified its performance and compliance with engaged parameters.
