Mobile X-ray machines
ŠTENCLOVÁ, Martina
Subject of this bachelor thesis was to compare the used doses of lungs X-ray images among two different types of the mobile X-ray machines and one stationary X-ray machine. The aim was to find out how the doses of the mobile appliances are comparable to the doses of the stationary appliance. The theoretical part is focused on the development and features of an X-ray appliance, on the technical parameters to get a high-quality X-ray image, and there are mentioned the important variables for dose counting. Another part is dedicated to the problems of the radiation protection it provides a preview of the issues of the influence of ionizing radiation on a live organism, an overview of the basic principles and limits of the radiation protection which should not be exceeded. Last but not the least, there is introduced a brief summary of the mobile X-ray machines, mentioned basic X-ray projections of lungs X-ray image and its identifications. The practical part focuses on the calculation of the entrance surface air Kerma of lungs X-ray image and on the comparison between the two types of the mobile X-ray machines with the indirect digitisation with the stationary X-ray appliance with the direct digitisation. For this purpose, patients, of years 2015, 2016 and 2017, from the regional hospital in Děčín were chosen. The first part of graphs compares the doses of two types of appliances mobile and stationary; and the entrance surface air Kerma is shown in microGy. The second part of graphs compares all three X-ray appliances and the entrance surface air Kerma is shown in mGy, i.e. units in which a dose is determined by the National diagnostical reference level.
