Dealing with a retirement

This bachelor's thesis is concerned how people dealing with a retirement and how they are handling these changes which affecting their life. This thesis has two parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part explains topics such as old age and coping with it, ageism, retirement and related psychological aspects, adaptation theories and human responses to change. The last chapter of the theoretical part mentions the possibilities of enjoing free time after retirement. The emipirical part of the thesis specifies the reasearch goal and research questions, it describes the research methodology, including how data was collected by semi-structured interview and subsequent analysis by open coding. Furthermore, the ethical aspects of the research, the description of the research file and the results presented by codes and categories.
