Mapping of the vegetation development of herbaceous cover in mountain spruce forests in the Giant Mountains with using GIS.
ČIHÁK, Jan
Mountain forests are an important part of the landscape in our country. In the last three decades they were seriously damaged by anthropogenic influence, especially immissions. The immissions make worse the health status of forests, which cause changes in a structure of flora, in which the health status of forests is reflected. The main goals of my work were to map the cover of herbal and mossy layers in two permanent research plots in the Giant Mountains ( Alžbětinka, Modrý důl), to create maps of herbaceous cover and to digitize them and to compare these maps with the extent in years 1993-1994 by using a developing analysis in GIS. Detailed vegetation maps of the both permanent research plots by whose processing (by digitizing and static evaluation) some important changes were found out in dominant soil cover categories were the main outputs of the work. In the first research plot Alžbětinka, decline of the grass Calamagrostis villosa and increasing of Vaccinium myrtillus cover were evident. In the second research plot Modrý důl, decline of both investigated species, Avenella flexuosa and Calamagrostis villosa, was observed .
Code-switching of standard and colloquial Czech as a didactics problem

Jan Čihák Code-switching of standard and colloquial Czech as a didactics problem Summary This dissertation examines the process of code-switching between so called standard and colloquial Czech in the process of education, especially in the language used by teachers in the classroom. Discussion about increasing use of colloquial Czech in broader situations and functions (based on previous research) among linguists is still present in various linguistic journals as it appears to be one of the central sociolinguistic problems of the Czech language. The main problems discussed in this dissertation are to what extent is the code-switching present in the teachers' speech in the classroom, what functions does it have in this specific area of communication and what (if any) are the features of code-switching to be considered for further teaching of Czech. In the theoretical part, different functional aspects of, and linguistic points of view on this phenomenon in Czech language are analysed with regard to its impact on the education of contemporary Czech in secondary schools. The author also analyses the requirements on teachers' use of language set by curricular documents and relevant linguistic papers, according to which there appears to be less emphasis at present on the use of standard Czech in classrooms,...
The principles of modelled training in tennis game
Čihák, Jan ; Hošek, Václav (advisor) ; Kočíb, Tomáš (referee)
BIBLIOGRAFICAL IDENTIFICATION Title of thesis: THE PRINCIPLES OF MODELLED TRAINING IN TENNIS GAME The goal of thesis: The main goal of this diploma's thesis is to verify the occurence of most common models of stress in competitive situation and answer a scientific question - "Can a stress environment, which is already simulated in training, improve stress environment in tennis match? To fulfil the main goal a following hypothesis was set up - H: During training preparation tennis coaches are more engaged in modelling of technical aspect of game situation than a modelling of psychosocial stress of tennis game. Method: This diploma's thesis as a main method of research uses the statistic explorative method of research whose main component is questionning on the anonymus way (29 questions) among coaches. Nonstandard questionary was set up on the base of expert leading of Professor PhDr. Václav Hošek, DrSc., literature retrieval, tutions with an specialist in area of tennis PhDr. Jiří Šlédr and natural experiences of author. Results: Set up hypothesis was verified - During training preparation tennis coaches are more engaged in modelling of technical aspect of game situation of specific situation than a modelling of psychosocial stress of tennis game. Keywords: Modelled training, Stress, Oppress, Psychics,...
Identifikace historické sítě prvků ekologické stability krajiny: Identifikace historické sítě prvků ekologické stability krajiny na mapách vojenských mapování
Univerzita Jana Evangelisty Purkyně v Ústí nad Labem, Laboratoř geoinformatiky, Ústí nad Labem ; Čihák, Jan ; Buchta, Ivan ; Uhlířová, Lenka ; Brůna, Vladimír
Cílem projektu je identifikace historické sítě prvků ekologické stability krajiny pomocí historických mapových děl. Výsledky projektu budou využity managementem péče o volnou krajinu, v krajinotvorných programech, pro tvorbu rekonstrukčních map krajinné struktury, pro studium krajinných změn v čase a prostoru. Hlavním úkolem projektu bylo pořízení kompletních mapových souborů I. a II. vojenského mapování z území Čech, Moravy a Slezska, tvorba metodiky jejich interpretace za účelem získání informací o historické síti prvků ekologické stability krajiny. Historické mapové podklady byly převedeny do digitálního záznamu. Jako modelová území byly vybrány tyto oblasti: Labské pískovce, Mostecko, Novomlýnské nádrže a Zlatá stoka.

Influence of the light conditions on herbaceous layer in mountain spruce forests in the Giant Mountains using GIS
ČIHÁK, Jan
Mountain forests are an important part of the landscape in our country. In the last three decades they have been seriously damaged by anthropogenic influence, especially immissions. The immissions make worse the health status of Norway spruce (Picea abies) forests, which cause changes in a structure of herbaceous layer, in which the health status of forest stand is reflected. The main goals of my work were to map the cover of herbaceous and mossy layers in two permanent research plots in the Giant Mountains ( Alžbětinka, Modrý důl), to create maps of herbaceous cover, to digitize them and to compare these maps with the extent in years 1993-1994 using a developing analysis in GIS and to detect influence of light conditions on herbaceous layer. Using digitizing and static evaluation of prepared detailed vegetation maps of the both permanent research plots, some important changes were found out in dominant soil cover categories. In the first research plot Alžbětinka, decline of the grass Calamagrostis villosa and increasing of Vaccinium myrtillus cover were evident. In the second research plot Modrý důl, decline of both investigated species, Avenella flexuosa and Calamagrostis villosa, was observed. Another goal of my research was to detect influence of the light conditions on herbaceous layer and nature regeneration of the Norway spruce on permanent research plot Modrý důl. Dependence of the basic categories of the soil cover on the percentual ratio of the light gaps in the crown canopy was proved. Dependence of the height of the seedlings on the ratio of the light gaps was also tested but it was not statistically proved. The negative dependence of survival on the ratio of the light gaps of the seedlings germinated in 1996 was proved, but not of the seedlings germinated in 2004.
