High flow nasal oxygen therapy as an alternative to mechanical ventilation in COVID+ patients in intensive care

Keywords: Oxygen therapy; Artificial lung ventilation; High-flow; Covid-19; Treatment of respiratory disease This thesis deals with supportive respiratory, ventilation, and non-invasive techniques of respiratory support related to the global Covid-19 pandemic that affected the lives of many people between 2020 and 2021. During this pandemic, high-flow nasal oxygen therapy (High- flow) emerged as a possible alternative to artificial lung ventilation in Covid-positive patients. The thesis addresses the issues related to the high-flow device, the experiences of nurses with it, and whether it can be an alternative to artificial lung ventilation for Covid-positive patients in intensive care. The theoretical part characterizes topics such as oxygen therapy, artificial lung ventilation, high-flow, Covid-19, treatment of respiratory disease, and the Hacor score. The empirical part is based on two conducted quantitative studies. The aim of the first quantitative survey was to determine whether the nurses are familiar with the high-flow device, its principles, usage, and whether they have received sufficient training on this device. Comparison of creditor and debtor reorganization

This diploma thesis deals with resolving bankruptcy by reorganization with emphasis on partition on creditor and debtor reorganization. In theoretical part, there are explained basic concepts and ways of bankruptcy resolving according to the Insolvency Act effective from 2008. In practical part of this thesis, there are performed four examples of creditor and debtor reorganizations. As examples of debtor reorganization were chosen cases of Technistone, a.s. and Starorolský porcelán Moritz Zdekauer, a.s.. As examples of creditor reorganization are performed cases of MSV Metal Studénka, a.s. and Oděvní podnik, a.s.. All these cases are clearly described and timelines of each case are performed. In the end of this thesis there is made comparison of these cases.

Analysis of the investment opportunities after termination of building savings

This thesis is about the ability of investment by unit trusts after the termination of building savings. The goal was to choose from unit trusts one or more which would be possible to invest resources to. After the short introduction and the theoretical part where are explained esseintial terms related to this theme, follows the practical part in which are by using of multicriteria decision making methods chosen suitable unit trusts for listed example of investor. In the thesis are used methods ELECTRE I, WSA and TOPSIS. The last part of the thesis is the description of unit trusts chosen by this three multicriteria decision making methods.
