Controlling as a business management tool

This bachelor thesis deals with controlling as a business management tool in the company. The theoretical part is devoted to the meaning of the term controlling, its history, its goals, functions and principles and its organizational structure in the company. It also includes information about the relationship between controller and the manager and discusses selected tools of operational and strategic controlling. The practical part is focused on the introduction of the selected company in terms of history and present and organizational structure of the company. Subsequently, the theoretical knowledge is applied to the selected company. At the end of the theses, there are some suggestions that would contribute to the improvement of the controlling system in the selected company.
