Financial analysis of the Czech radio

The focus of my thesis is the evaluation of the possibility to apply the methods of the financial analysis to the Czech Radio, i.e. to the society which is not established to make a profit, but its principal legal mission is to provide public services. The Slovak Radio which was selected to serve as a counterpart for comparison of the figures has proved to be found in a different current situation, due to varied developments in both independent republics after the division of former Czechoslovakia. Therefore, the methods of financial analysis can be applied only partly and after the adjustments in which specific conditions of environment of both institutions must be taken into account. Specific accounting procedures derived from legal frames and codes cannot be omitted either.

The main goal of following Financial Analysis is to provide detail information about the current state in the Zentiva a.s.. Financial health is investigated according to financial results and relative figures, suitable for analysing. All calculations were executed in Microsoft Excel.

Cílem mé bakalářské práce bylo zhodnotit finanční situaci společnosti Plzeňský Prazdroj, a.s. Práci jsem rozdělil na několik částí, z nichž nejvýznamější je část teoreticko-metodologická a část praktická, ve která je stěžejním úsekem celé práce.V praktické části aplikuji metody a postupy popsané v části teoretické. Na základě zjisřěných výsledků hodnotím společnost Plzeňský Prazdroj, a.s. jako finančně zdraví a prosperující podnik.

Financial evaluating of industrial investment

The main goal of my thesis is to evaluate industrial investment in the field of metallurgical basic industry. It is extrafurnace desulfurization of pig iron as a interface in the three-chain : production of pig iron - desulfurization - steel manufacture. There is a capital project in the metallurgical concern Třinecké železárny, a.s. in Třinec, in the year of 2008, financed from internal resources. Investment effect is calculated only from the cash-flows, investment acquisition is expressed simplifiedly by the reduction of operating costs. There are positive findings, which are based on calculation of investment criterions. The investment of desulfurization is very modern and effective and has a very low economic return.

Leasing

Subject of this diploma thesis is leasing. There is shown legislative, and tax framework of leasing, diversification of leasing and leasing market in the Czech Republic and EU. One part is dedicated to comparison of different financing types from different suppliers. Financial calculations used in leasing and loan products are shown in specific part. Additional products, contract closure and live of the contracts are summarized in the final part.

Financial analysis of Continental Teves Czech Republic, s.r.o.

The purpose of this bachelor work is to carry out financial analysis of Continental Teves Czech Republic, s.r.o. which is aimed at discovering of the company`s overall financial health and is also trying to evaluate future perspective. The work is devided into two basic chaptors. The first one describes procedures of financial analysis which is used in this work and the second one contains the financial analysis itself. There are applied the basic methods of financial analysis in this work, such as vertical and horizontal analysis of the financial statements, ratio analysis, bankruptcy models, EVA indicator and branch comparison.

The thesis works on the evaluation of residential development project. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate profitability and risks of the project. There are calculation of incomes and costs, financial plan, evaluation of profitability and risks of the project in the analytical part of the thesis. Evaluation is made by both dynamic and static methods.

Financial analysis of the company Unilever CR, spol. s.r.o.

The banchelor thesis evaluates the financial health of the company and bases its statement on the outputs of the financial analysis. Considering the size and power of the company, it is very interesting to observe the influence of certain changes in the company. However, it could be said, that the company, considering the possibilities which it has thanks to its power, is unlikely to get into financial problems. Financial health of the comapny is firm.
