Study of collagenous binders used in art objects
Suková, Tereza ; Hrdličková Kučková, Štěpánka (advisor) ; Čapek Adamec, Martin (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis was to find information about collagenous binders that are used in artworks and to divide them into the groups due to their applicability. The second aim was to find their proteinaceous composition and search the individual proteins in the publicly available database. Consequently the proteins were cleaved "in silico" using a special software and the molecular masses of their tryptic peptides were determined. The next aim was to analyse reference collagenous binders by the method of peptide mass mapping and, finally, compare the experimentally obtained peptides with those obtained by special software. Proteins contained in collagenous materials (different types of collagens and elastin) were found in Expasy database. The sequences of these proteins were cleaved in mMass program, where the peptides with the known aminoacid sequences and molecular weight (m/z) were obtained. The experimentally found values of m/z were gained by analyses of different types of animal glues (hide, bone and rabbit glue, gelatine and fish glue). The analyses include enzymatic cleavage of the collagenous materials by trypsin, purification of the obtained peptides on reverse phase Zip Tip and measuring of their m/z values using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. By comparing of experimentally and...
Segmentace a odhad hustoty ve stehennim kloubu
Horáček, Jan ; Čapek, Martin (referee) ; Maršálek, Lukáš (advisor)
There are two basic ways of surgical treatment of femoral neck fracture - total endoprosthesis or a special metal screw in the bone. In case of a dense enough bone the screws are preferred. But for a too parse bone, the screw may cut through the femoral head, which results in further surgical operations. We present a novel method for femoral head density measurement, which serves as another hint for the doctor's decision, whether to apply a screw or total endoprosthesis. Our approach is based on semi-automatical femoral head segmentation from CT dataset based on finding optimal path through polar coordinates on axial slices. The cost function is based on a combination of corticallis properties, mostly the directional behavior of 3D gradients and their size in 2D slices, where they form typical "channels". The final volume is computed using filling and morphological algorithms and its properties are further measured. The final implementation was experimentally validated on RTG clinic of Bulovka hospital and allows radiologists to intuitively and accurately estimate the femoral head density in approximately 1 to 3 minutes.
Preparation of cochenial carmine
Helceletová, Zuzana ; Čapek Adamec, Martin (referee) ; Hrdličková Kučková, Štěpánka (advisor)
The aim of this study was to prepare a red organic pigment named cochineal carmine. The pigment was made out of dried insect called Coccus cacti using historical recipe. Next goal was to detect carminic acid by infrared spectroscopy with Fourier transform (FTIR) in dried bodies of the mentioned insect, then in the pigment prepared from it and in the pigment that was prepared using extract called carminum rubrum. The other results of this work were the comprehension of the origin and preparation of carmine pigment and the identification of carminic acid in both prepared pigments.
Preparation of N-(2-oxazoline-2-yl-phenyle)barbituic acid
Strnadová, Iveta ; Čapek Adamec, Martin (referee) ; Kotoučová, Hana (advisor)
In my bachelor thesis I dealed with preparation of N-(2-oxazoline-2-ylfenyl)barbituic acid by condensation of N-(2-oxazolin-2-ylfenyl) urea with malonic acid in the presence of acetic acid and acetic anhydride and condensation of the N-substituted urea with diethylmalonate in the presence of sodium ethoxide, too. Original substance for the preparation of N-(2-oxazoline-2-ylfenyl) urea was 2-aminophenyle-2-oxazolin, which was prepared from 2-aminobenzonitrile.
Preparation of N-substituated 6-amino-3-(2-methylphenyl)uraciles
Solnička, Ondřej ; Čapek Adamec, Martin (referee) ; Kotoučová, Hana (advisor)
The presented bachelor thesis deals with preparation of N-substituted 6-amino-2-(3- methylphenyl)uraciles, which are in fact precursors for synthesis of atropoizomeric flavines systems. N-substituted 6-amino-2-(3-methylphenyl)uraciles were prepared by sequential synthesis from arylamine, through particular urea, barbituric acid and subsequent substituted chlorouracile by amine.
Opioids in therapy and abuse
Ondra, Radim ; Čapek Adamec, Martin (referee) ; Kotoučová, Hana (advisor)
This graduation thesis deals with the theme of opiates. It describes them as a very important medicaments, helping to lower a feel of pain, but as often abused drugs as well. There is presented a review of compounds in this thesis, which bind on the specific protein structures located in the nervous system named opioid receptors. Some sythethic methods of important opioids and their properties are mentioned. Description of neurochemical and neurophysiological changes after drug entering a human body is emphasized. There is a brief mention about opiates usage through history in the beggining of this thesis, because of putting this theme into a larger sense.

The provision of fire protection in selected hospitals of the Capital City of Prague.
ČAPEK, Martin
The aim of this work is to map fire safety in selected hospitals in the capital city of Prague. The main aim is to answer whether is the fire protection by the corporate fire brigade unit considering the vastness of the area and the number of beds measurable benefit for the fire safety of medical facility. Custom work is also examined whether the unit is reduced by the presence of the corporate fire brigades in the hospital requirements for fire protection using dedicated kinds of firefighting equipment. Another part of the research is dedicated to the fact whether is the load of the fire rescue service (FRS) of the capital city of Prague reduced by the presence of the corporate fire rescue service in the hospital and thus has to adjust the area coverage? In the first part of the thesis is summary of the regulations in the area of fire prevention. Above the Law on Fire protection and the Ministry of Interior Decree on fire prevention. There are described in detail obligations of legal entities and individuals, competence and training of fire protection. From the perspective of repression is described by the distribution of fire protection units, and also their rights and obligations. For purposes of this thesis is defined by the fire and method of propagation of fire. This will take the necessary measures to prevent its spread. Solution is also the fire safety of buildings according to the CSN 73 0802 Fire protection of buildings - nonproductive objects. Specifically resistance of structures and the use of fire safety equipment. It is important to define the hospital as a medical facility and its basic characteristics and distribution. They are described in detail in terms of medical facilities and fire safety through technical standard CSN 73 0835 Fire safety of buildings - Buildings for health care facilities. Rated objects are the Motol University Hospital, the University Hospital of Royal Vinohrady and Thomayer Hospital, all with headquarters in Prague. The main criteria for the selection of the hospital's number of beds, number of patients treated and the site area. Another criterion is the number of employees and the difficult conditions for intervention. At first, the comparison parameters hospitals for fire prevention, such as the number of professionally qualified persons, the number of trainees, preventive fire patrols. In the Motol University Hospital are installed sprinkler system and a special spraying equipment and also there is an entity of its own corporate fire rescue brigade. The next section analyzes the number of incidents in each hospital complexes or the number of fires. We found a relatively large number of fires in the Motol University Hospital. And with an average of 5.7 fires per year in the past decade, compared to 0.3 fires in the Thomayer Hospital and 1.0 of fire in the University Hospital of Royal Vinohrady. Space is analyzed with the most complex variant of fire, especially the requirements for forces and resources. The results are compared to their inclusion in areal coverage depending on the degree of danger cadastral municipality. In all three cases, these conditions suit. The result of the research is that the selected areas of hospitals in the capital city of Prague in terms of fire protection are at a very high level. Whereas there is the unit with its own fire protection or not. Its presence is a matter of fire protection concepts during the design of the hospital complex. Establishment of fire protection units in hospitals, where it currently is, would only increase the comfort of visitors and hospital patients on the one hand and financial wastage on the other. Functioning FRS in the Motol University Hospital is an objective benefit for the fire safety of the hospital complex. Analyses of the current state of the recommendation by the FRS of the capital of Prague conduct more tactical exercises, mainly in the hospital where they have their own fire protection unit.
