The Municipal Baths
Vrbka, Jan ; Kyselka, Mojmír (referee) ; Makovský, Zdeněk (advisor)
Are municipal bath built next to Voronez Hotel able to compete with other such facilities? The key is to create a specific atmosphere. The bath steeps from the ground to offer views over city. Another part of the strategy is a presence of relative functions in the building – you can meet many activities, which you would not expect in public bath. But what is the most important: you can enjoy these activities in intimate environment or in the public space as well. For example: you can take a tea in a bar situated in the sixth floor with exclusive view over opposite hill or you can take different tea in a small informal teahouse hidden in the middle of the disposition. An all-embracing structure of differently juxtaposed reinforced concrete boxes creates a frame for this different human experience.
Stress and strength analysis of the bicycle crank arm of a non-circular profile
Valenta, Tomáš ; Dobeš, Martin (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with analytic solution of torque of a rectangular profile bar. Solution stands on Prandtl’s theory of torque of non-circular cross-section bar. Stress is thought about shear stress which is given by torsional moment and shear force, further about normal stress which is given by bending moment and tensile force. Application for this problem is stress and strength analysis of of the bicykle crank arm. Calculation is solved with MATLAB software.
Stress, deformation and safety analysis of the tandem trike frame
Tatalák, Adam ; Gayer, Tomáš (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis contains stress, deformation and safety analysis of the tandem trike frame of company AZUB. In the theoretical introduction is short introduction with alternative cycling. The beam assumptions are analysed and computational model of the frame is made. The entire calculation is focused on three typical load states – standstill (uniform rectilinear motion), deceleration and turn transit. The progress of inner stress resultants , tension and safety in critical point of construction are calculated. Deformation of the frame is solved for standstill, which is expressed by the shift center of gravity of the rider. For analytic calculation was used MATLAB software. Model of the trike is created in Autodesk Inventor.
Stress, deformation and safety analysis of the tandem bicycle frame
Profota, Martin ; Dobeš, Martin (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
Purpose of this work was the evaluation safety and pliancy of the frame structure tandem bicycle using method of basic elasticity with the help of the deformation and stress analysis. After introduction material and geometry of the frame tandem bicycle introductory part is focused on theoretical basis of calculation like beam assumptions, definition the beam, limit states, Sentence of Castigliano and Saint Venant's Principle. Before commencement actual analytical solution the spatial task was transferred to plane task and used model was simplified. Calculation related to two load states differing by way of load of frame tandem bicycle. For each load modes comparison with numerical solution by FEM was enabled. Mathematical software like Mathcad 14 and Maple 13 were used to analytical calculation. Check was performed by numerical solution in program ANSYS Workbench 14.5.
Stress, deformation and reliability computational analysis of the adjustable tandem trike frame
Ščotka, Martin ; Kubík, Petr (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with stress, deformation and safety analyses of adjustable frame of tandem tricycle. Starting with brief introduction of cycling, especially alternative cycling followed by indicating of whip assumptions and computational model of the frame. The final calculations have been done in three basic modes: direct motion, braking and cornering. Inner Stress Resultant has been summed, reduced pressure in a dangerous point has been expressed and safety issue has been figured up as well. Mathematical software MAPLE has been used to solve the assignment. Model is provided in software Autodesk Inventor
Deformation, stress and safety analysis of the recumbend frame.
Verner, Jan ; Majer, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
This work contains deformation, stress and safety analysis of recumbent bike frame from company AZUB. After introduction about history, definition of beam and beam assumptions, computational model of the frame was made fallowed the main solution. Three load states was checked - stillnes / uniform ride, deceleration and pedalling. The third one was subjected to deeper analysis. Bending problem in defined location was solved for all states. Inner stress resultans was solved as Von Misses stress, and the safet y was calculated. The fist state was compared with FEM. A program in MATLAB was made, enabeling calculation of user- selected frame geometry and loading.
Stress, deformation and strength analysis of the frontal recumbend axle
Valenda, Jakub ; Gayer, Tomáš (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis is focused on evaluation of tenseness and safety of a recumbert bike's front axle using method of basic elasticity. Calculation is limited to three options that differ in manner of frame's load. Used model of the axle is beam with two straight and one curved part. A bend and twist are considered as dominant stress. In conclusion there is for each load status evaluated the progress of tension on a beam's length, safety in critical point and deformation in point of power effect on axle. In my bachelor thesis there was used Matlab software for analytic calculation. Ancillary drawings were created in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
Analysis of the production imperfections influence on the stress and load capacity of the truss construction
Klíč, Jan ; Majer, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals construction solution of overhead crane load in different positions of external devices. The construction is loaded with dead-weight (gravitation) in the same time. The geometry is completely specified. Next, it concerned with impact of manufacturing inaccuracies in rod length on the total loading capacity.
Strength design and deformation analysis of the truss construction.
Ryšánek, Michal ; Nedělka, Pavel (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis is focused on strength design and strain-stress analysis of truss construction. Simplified as a plain truss construction. One of the main goals of this thesis is calculate stresses for each member of the construction, depending on the load position. The cross section of beams were designed respecting safety conditions. The influence of the gravity field was not taken into account.
Deformation, stress and safety analysis of the bicycle frame.
Ondrejka, Jan ; Vosynek, Petr (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to assess complience and safety of the bicycle frame with basic elasticity approach, namely by deformation and stress analysis. After model simplyfying, two different cases were made. Difference between these two were in loads aplied on the frame. Maple 12.0 softwarre was used for calculation, Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD were used for sketches. The results were checked with ANSYS Workbench.
