Nanotechnology and its importance in the Czech economy

For a small open economy such as the Czech Republic are important innovations, high value-added business and export. The main objective of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of the overall advancement of nanotechnology and its impact on the economy, not only in the world but mainly in the Czech Republic. The paper first describes nanotechnology theoretically, its history and use. The second part focuses on the importance of nanotechnology to the world economy. On nanotechnologies in Czech Republic focuses third chapter, which evaluates funding, research and development of nanotechnology, the impact on the Czech economy and compares the position of the Czech Republic and other countries. The last part is devoted to the future of nanotechnology and the impact of their progress on the economy and investment.

The impact of offshoring on global economy

The bachelor's thesis deals with overall impacts of relocation of business activities from domestic to host economy. The first, theoretical part is focused on defining the term offshoring, its forms, origin and development in past 50 years. Companies motives for entry into foreign markets are mentioned at the end of the first part. The practical part of thesis analyzes the impact of offshoring on selected areas in selected economies. The final section aims to assess the impacts of offshoring on the global economy and to determine the expected development in the future.

The impact of cultural globalization on czech society

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the impact of cultural globalization on Czech society. This thesis examines the assumption that the gradual interconnection of economic relations homogenizes consumer behavior and Czech consumer has easily accepted model of "mass consumption". The first part provides a general description of globalization, focusing on the economic and cultural area. The second part deals with the impact of cultural globalization and the trend of consumer society worldwide. In the last part the view is limited to the Czech Republic. Gathered statistics help us to observe influence of processes which are mentioned in previous chapters.

The impact of intellectual property protection on the economic development of China

My work discusses the protection of intellectual property in China. The first theoretical part focuses on the historical conditions for implementation of intellectual property rights, present and assumptions to improve the system of intellectual property rights. In the second part of the thesis I will describe the ways in which intellectual property protection effects on the economic growth, I will use statistics to evaluate the current status and analyze one of the ways - foreign direct investment.

This thesis focuses on Japanese robotics, its current trends and perspectives. The first part consists of definition of crucial terms. In the end of the first part, the thesis outlines brief history of Japanese robotics. Second part focuses on current trends in Japanese robotics. Main focus is on humanoid robots and automotive sector. The final part describes perspectives of Japanese robotics. As main areas of perspectives were chosen medicine and development of artificial intelligence.

Informační kampaně v odpadovém hospodářství - podpora osvěty pro veřejnou správu a výuky: Distanční vzdělávací kurz "Odpadář"

Předmětem řešení předchozích let byla analýza vzdělávacích a informačních potřeb sledovaných cílových skupin, jež vyústila v tvorbu prostředí vhodného pro vytvoření distančního vzdělávacího programu ODPADÁŘ. V roce 2004 byla vytvořena distanční podoba vzdělávacího programu v odpadovém hospodářství, bylo vytvořeno pomocné komunikační prostředí a studijní text pro první vzdělávací modul. Vytvořené prostředí a studijní text byly následně ověřeny v praxi v rámci pilotních kurzů, jehož se účastnili zejména pracovníci veřejné správy. V závěru roku 2005 byl kurz úspěšně akreditován jako průběžný vzdělávací program u Ministerstva vnitra. V roce 2005 byly dokončeny studijní texty pro druhý modul vzdělávacího programu, začal další běh vzdělávacího programu (I. modul + II. vzdělávací modul). Na počátku února 2006 byl úspěšně dokončen celý běh vzdělávacího programu – závěrečným tutoriálem k II. modulu vzdělávání. Moduly vzdělávacího programu byly vyhodnoceny a byla navržena opatření pro pořádání ještě kvalitnějších běhů vzdělávacího programu. V dalším čtvrtletí roku 2006 byl započat již třetí běh vzdělávacího programu, v dubnu I. modulem a v září II. modulem, který byl dokončen 24.11.2006 závěrečným tutoriálem. Accession of Croatia to the EU

This bachelor thesis focuses on the changes in Croatia during the 21 years of their independence which led to accession of Croatia to the EU and presents the country as a 28th member of EU. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter explains the political development of Croatia since 1991 till today. The second one is focused on the economic development of the country. The final chapter concentrates itself on the accession negotiations of Croatia with EU, and describes the most important disputes which made the negotiations so slow. This bachleor thesis provides an answer to question if the Croatia is ready to be a new member of EU.

Transnational corporations and their position in the global economy

Bachelor thesis deals with characterisation of transnational corporations in global economy in the process of globalisation. Follows the description of the development of transnational corporations and globalisation during the globalisation phases. The second part of the thesis describes the process of transformation of a company into a multinational company. Next part includes the lists of the biggest financial and non-financial corporations. International activity of TNCs is realised by FDI. Another part of this thesis is also the evaluation of current trend of localisation of the FDI in relation to TNCs. The last part includes evaluation of the position of TNC and explanation of their dominant position in the global economy.
