Zaytsev, Vsevolod ; Dejdar, Petr (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
(This bachelor thesis aims at a theoretical analysis of \acs{FBG} (\acl{FBG}), its use in telecommunications technology and the design of smart textiles based on FBG filters. The theoretical part of this work discusses the knowledge of FBG, their production and use, presents an overview of technical textiles and the current state of the market. Then the question of adhesive adhesives will also be described. The practical part is devoted to the design of smart textiles and the subsequent measurement of the dependence of the wavelengths of the built-in FBGs on their temperature.)
Critical infrastructure protection using distributed temperature sensing
Holcman, Jiří ; Dejdar, Petr (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
This master thesis aims to show the possibility of practical use of an optical fiber as a distributed temperature sensor. The main goal is the possibility of protection of waste pipes (critical infrastructure) against leaks, fluid leaks, line disturbances, fires, freezing, etc. The first part describes the basic elements of the system for distributed temperature measurement using optical fiber such as optical fiber sensor, block diagram involvement and theoretical basis on which the measurement is based. The physical principle of temperature sensing using an optical fiber using Raman backscattering of light is explained, as well as Rayleigh and Brillouin scatterings, which, however, are not used in this thesis. Furthermore, the main advantages of DTS systems are presented, such as the possibility of detection over long distances, almost maintenance-free operation with a long service life and easy installation in practice. Next, some global DTS manufactures of equipment for the implementation of these distributed temperature measurement systems. To verify the main parameters, a reference measurement was designed and implemented. In the next part of the work is assembled a simple DTS system simulating the practical implementation of pipelines in laboratory conditions. The possibilities of measured quantities such as sensitivity to temperature changes, resolution and measurement accuracy were verified on this system. All these values were recorded, graphically represented and evaluated. The investigated quantities were clearly marked and described on the graphs of the results. At the end of the work, the results of measurements were clearly summarized and the possibilities of practical use for the protection of critical infrastructures were indicated.
Creation of Bluetooth data logger for recording and processing of measured data
Vaverka, Jan ; Myška, Vojtěch (referee) ; Dejdar, Petr (advisor)
The first part of the theses deals with dataloggers and their use in today's world. The second part is dedicated to microcontrollers which are used as a control unit for dataloggers. Individual peripheral devices MCU and their communication interfaces have been described. The next part deals with Bluetooth Low Energy which is used for data broadcasting to the user. Based on the acquired knowledge the microcontroller and sensors were selected. A datalogger was constructed and programmed from selected components, which will measure the properties of ferment during fruit fermentation. Finally, a mobile application was created to download data from the datalogger and then display the data in charts.
Design and implementation of xPON frame processing interface
Vais, Zdeněk ; Dejdar, Petr (referee) ; Holík, Martin (advisor)
This thesis focuses on system for persistence of GPON communication. Theoretical part deals with problems of GPON and NG-PON optical networks, NoSQL database systems and MongoDB database. Practical part contains design of a database schema for MongoDB database and source code in programming languages Python and C# for working with this database. The thesis is finalized by performance testing, proving that the database design and source code implementation is capable of handling real world traffic.
Car computer based on Raspberry Pi
Matula, Vladimír ; Dejdar, Petr (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
The main goal of this diploma thesis is to investigate the smart cars field together with the technologies linked closely to it. Further, the thesis offers an overview of options to extend the vehicle capabilities with the car computer created with the Raspberry Pi Zero W. The thesis provides hands-on experience and is stuctured into two parts. The first, theoretical section focuses on Internet of Things and Machine to Machine communication. It also describes the currently available smart car solutions on the market, their pros and cons. The practical part of this thesis describes design and creation of a smart computer based on Raspberry Pi Zero W with draft of self-made security system from vehicle containing a motion sensor and a camera. It also includes a development and integration steps with a mobile application capable of viewing the static information regarding the car state, such as Rotations per minute. Vehicle speed, etc. The created system also has the capability of informing the user about it's current location on request.
Measurement of optical and opto-electrical components parameters
Horňáková, Veronika ; Dejdar, Petr (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with optical and optoelectronic components. The first part describes three selected optical and three optoelectronic components. Optical components include power divider, isolator and circulator. The optoelectronic ones are laser diode, photodetector and modulator. Basic measurement parameters were defined for each component. In the experimental part, four components from different manufacturers were measured. Selected components are power dividers, isolators, circulators and a laser diode. Subsequently, the measured parameters were compared with the catalog values.

Janoušek, Adam ; Münster, Petr (referee) ; Dejdar, Petr (advisor)
The master theses deals with a detailed analysis of optical fiber sensors. Specifically, there are discussed optical fibers, various types of sensors and realization optical fiber senzor and senzor system that has been optimized and processed data in real time. In master theses also describes the LabView programming enviroment and uses components, including the entire sensor systém of a sensors system that sends measured data
New trends in fibre optic sommunications
Lubajo, Lubajo Moses Wolyan ; Dejdar, Petr (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
Fiber optical transmission system
Horský, Tomáš ; Münster, Petr (referee) ; Dejdar, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the program processing for the simulation of dispersion on the optical transmission. Parameters of optical fiber, such as attenuation, diffusion, dispersion, and bandwidth are described in the theoretical part. The main focus is on dispersion while being the key parameter of this work. In the practical part, the measurement characteristics of the eye diagram and its analysis are discussed. Simulator of dispersion can serve both for simulation as well as a measuring device for real transmission routes.
