Revision of the electronic diabetic file at Clinic of Diabetology IKEM

Electronic diabetic record (EDR) is an electronic medical record used in Diabetology Clinics, Instittute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM), Prague. EDR is complex record of patient statistical and clinical data. It´s complexity and large time demands on filling in all items make EDR not user friendly. Thus, benefits of electronic medical record are not fully utilized. The paper describes solution that leads to simpler user interface as component of outpatient message allowing easy entering data. The new interface has been designed and created in the form of program module. There are described other procedures to implement module into IKEM information system Zlatokop. At the end, there are discussed the advantages and shortcomings of this revised vision and current status of project of EDR. The first part of the work is about the basic concepts and problems regarding EDR. It is about e-health, specially about the electronic health record, databases, specially about Caché, which is used in Zlatokop, about diabetes mellitus and about user experience.

Presure measurement in infusion system

The first part of this work is about history of infusion technology, specially about recent developments in electronic infusion devices. Then, there are described basic principles of infusion pumps and syringe pumps. The second part introduces safety features of infusion technology. An occlusion alarm is one of them. There is described a method of measurement that verifies the functionality of this alarm in two instruments of different producers with various settings. Data obtained by this method are statistically processed and the results discussed.

Modern Cloud Solutions in the Enterprise

This diploma thesis deals with the use of the cloud in a particular company. The main objective is to select a system that enables sharing and synchronizing data between employees and to prepare a proposal to deploy the system with regard to specific needs of the analyzed company. As part of the work is also the situation analysis, opportunity study and risk analysis.

Isolation and identification of yeasts from the vineyard to their possible utilisation in wine making

The aim of this work was to isolate the Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast from the surface of wine grapes of the Malverina and Sauvignon varieties. Isolated yeasts were identified by the PCR-RFLP method. 5,8S ITS rDNA was amplified using PCR and restricition endonucleases HaeIII, HhaI, HinfI and TaqI were used for the restriction analysis which followed. The results were processed by UPGMA cluster analysis using the BioNumerics programme. The dominant genus on the surface of the Malverina variety grapes was Brettanomyces/Dekkera, while on the surface of the Sauvignon grapes we found mainly yeasts of the Pichia genus. The Saccharomyces cerevisiae species was not isolated from any of the two grape varieties.

Graphical Interface for Flight Displays

This bachelor thesis addresses visualization of flight data and values in the pilot cabin of current airplanes. It aims to provide the Primary Flight Display with an application presenting the flight values in a modern and comprehensible way. The thesis consists of the design and implementation of the application targetting flight simulator.

Wine and changes its chemical parameters during production using the autochthonous yeasts

This bachelor's thesis deals with chemical changes in must during fermentation using autochthonous yeast. The theoretical part describes history of viticulture, morphology and chemical composition of wine grapes. There is also discussed technology of wine production and some of the principles of analytical methods used for chemical analysis of wine. The experimental part deals with principles of methods used for all analyses in this work and the results of said analyses. Parameters assessed in this thesis were concentrations of reducing sugars, ethanol and titratable acids and pH value. The analyzed must was obtained from Grüner Veltliner grape wine varietal.
