It contains characterization of cutting technology and material removal with water jet technology, differences between clean and hydroabrasive water jet and their parametres. The imporant part is also comparison with other unconventional cutting methods. In the end the thesis is devoted to the trends and the development of water jet technology and to examples of technological application.

Technology compiling two groove pulley making for two types of billets. As a billets is used in both cases a cast iron EN-GJL-250. The technological process solves production of both variants from designing the billets to trans-mission to the storeroom. The production is realized through cutting operation by CNC machines. The tools are selected with cutting tip. Finaly both variants are compared from economical perspective.

In my bachelory thesis I dwelled by machining of the frontal cog wheels. The main part of the whole work was to create a list of the machining’s methods, the list of a using of tools for individual machining’s methods and the list of the using machines for concrete methods. I appraised optimal methods in light of machining’s operation and it is in the conclusion of my bachelory work.
