Optical method in diagnostic of transient dynamic responses in human skull
Dvořáková, Pavla ; Trnka, Jan ; Veselý, Jan
The paper deals with the study of stress wave propagation in a human skull. Impact was generated both focused ruby laser beam and exploding wires. Transient dynamic responses were studied by means of double pulse holointerferometry and laser interferometry. in the research was paid attention to the evaluation of stress wave propagation velocity and tha result of both optical methods were compared. The study assists in the design of useful medical solutions.

Optical methods of generation and detection of ultrasound wave in thin-wall structures
Trnka, Jan ; Landa, Michal
Double pulse holointerferometry and laser interferometry were used to study guided waves propagation in thin-wall structures. The full-field visualisation of the displacements caused by generated waves was carried out by DPHI with ruby laser like a s ce of light and the source of quided waves in different time after impact. The time history of displacements and velocities was detected noncontactly in the points on the surface by vibrometr Polytec.
