Accurate wattmeter for measure power loss in ferrite core
Zdražil, Lukáš ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (referee) ; Roubal, Zdeněk (advisor)
Losses in ferromagnetic materials can be measured by a wattmeter. They can be divided into eddy current losses and hysteresis losses. Loss measurements are performed on closed samples. Wattmeters should be accurate and sensitive. There are electrodynamic wattmeters used which reach the maximum deflection at a power factor less than one. Another possible way how to measure losses is by the usage of special electronic circuits. The main part of these circuits is called an analog multiplier. The analog multiplier performs a product of two input signals, especially voltage or current. For these purposes a lot of integrated circuits have been developed. The biggest producers are companies such as Analog Devices and Texas Instruments.
Pulsed current source for a flash xenon lamp
Nakládal, Martin ; Roubal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the design of a special impulse current source, which is used to power a xenon lamp with a short-term power-up function. The pulse source will be part of a modernized nanosecond laser flash spectrometer. The proposed pulse source is designed to allow the Xenon lamp to be over-flashed to up to 100 times. The power supply allows a pulse current setting within interval 50 to 500 A and with a duration of 0.5 to 10 ms. The power supply has built-in overload protection and control functions, including lamp end-of-life indication.
Design of a new iontometer with wireless communication and weather station
Kadlček, Václav ; Hrabina, Jan (referee) ; Roubal, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of an autonomous system for the measurement of the concentration of atmospheric ions. This is a new version of the already asembled Iontmeter by UTEE FEKT. Unlike the previous version, this new one should be completely independent of electrical network and configurable even without a PC. The design includes increased water and dust resistance, wireless transmission from the weather station and its own temperature, atmospheric pressure and relative humidity sensor.
Gaussmeter design with three-axis measuring probe
Hejtmánek, Tomáš ; Novák,, Miroslav (referee) ; Roubal, Zdeněk (advisor)
The purpose of this work is the design of a gaussmeter with a three-axis probe for magnetic field mapping and subsequent reconstruction of the image using magnetic impedance tomography. Commercially available gaussmeters have low bandwidth for these purposes, and signals cannot be measured in synchronous detection mode. The aim of the thesis is select the most suitable magnetic field sensors for the MIT purposes and to design the entire measuring device to meet the measurement requirements in the wider frequency band and synchronous detection. Attention will also be paid to designing a suitable mechanical design of the probe and the location of the sensors. The proposed device will be tested and evaluated for MIT purposes.
Temperature and humidity measuring station for Ionmeter
Kadaňka, Karel ; Roubal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Szabó, Zoltán (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis describes the design of meteorological station of Ionmeter. Meteorological station is controlled by the Arduino platform, which evaluates the measured data and sends them wireless into the initial concept of Ionmeter. In the first part, the particular measured variables (temperature, humidity, pressure, carbon dioxide concentration, UV radiation and amount of dust particles) are described. It also describes the brief principle of the formation of air ions and their influence of the human organism. The following chapters are dedicated to the description of each component, the description of the weather station program and the initial concept of Ionmeter. The last chapter describes the construction of the meteorological station itself.
The design low noise linear power supply
Ondráš, Michal ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (referee) ; Roubal, Zdeněk (advisor)
This semester work describes the production of a power supply. It is linear source with voltage regulation and current regulation. The source has low output noise. The source is power supply for nuclear quadrupole resonance. This project describes NQR, linear source, noise, noise properties of electronic components and process for production of the power supply. The project describes select components with low noise and then influence on the electrics circuit and output noise. The text describes design the cooling system and calculation of the values.
Risk margin in technical reserves calculations
Nevoralová, Eva ; Roubal, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Mazurová, Lucie (referee)
This thesis focuses on the comparison of the non-life insurance risk margin calculation methods. At first, the current situation on the European insurance market is described as well as possible approaches of the risk margin calculations. Next the paper deals with the cost of capital method and Value at Risk simulation approach. Apart from theoretical description of the methods there are also practical calculations based on data, which correspond to the character of some insurance lines on the Czech market, mentioned in this paper. In the final part comparison of both methods' results is described and, in addition to that, the results of the Tail Value at Risk method are also mentioned. A computational tool for the risk margins is also included in the thesis.
Design measure amplifier for magnetic measurement
Hejtmánek, Tomáš ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (referee) ; Roubal, Zdeněk (advisor)
The purpose of this semester work is a design of a measuring preamplifier for a fluxmeter DTEE which is used for hysteresis loops on ferromagnetic materials measurements. Having respect to measure coils’ characteristics and processed voltage levels with ranges in nV and µV, there was necessary to investigate measure principles of such low voltage. And then choose an appropriate operational amplifier based on the result. Mainly with minimum input residual voltage and offset temperature dependency. Also was necessary to propose effective zero compensation and eliminate thermoelectric influence in the whole designed device. There was applied noise optimization of selected operational amplifier in PSpise software. The designed device will be assembled and tested. The given results will be evaluated together with possibilities of application for a measurement purposes in labs.
Implementation of USB/LAN/WIFI interface
Voneš, Jaroslav ; Roubal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (advisor)
This semester the project goes into implementing the most modern communication interfaces USB/LAN/WIFI to control the computer itself and also the incubator via a Web interface. The term describes the overall solution to the management of the incubator for using microcontroller ATmega8 with the possibility of the exchange of communication interfaces. For the USB converter was used the circuit FTDI FT232 BM company, from LANTRONIX Ethernet was used for Converter converter XPORT and eventually to communicate the WIFI was elected circuit ESP 8266
