AI Planning with Time and Resource Constraints
Dvořák, Filip ; Chrpa, Lukáš (referee) ; Barták, Roman (advisor)
Automated planning plays an important role in many fields of human interest, where complex and changing tasks involve demanding efficiency and error-avoidance requirements. Research in planning is also motivated by capturing the computational aspects of Artificial Intelligence, where planning, being a reasoning side of acting, is one of the key elements. Introduction of time and resources into planning is an important step towards modelling problems from the real world, however planning is generally hard and introduction of time and resources makes it even harder. In this thesis we explore theoretical aspects of planning, temporal reasoning and resource reasoning. Based on these studies we develop our own suboptimal domain-independent planning system that focuses on planning, where time plays a major role and resources are constrained. We test the developed planning system on the planning problems with time and resources from the International Planning Competition 2008 and compare our results with the competition participants.
Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and spectroscopy (STS) study of thin ceria films
Dvořák, Filip ; Mysliveček, Josef (advisor) ; Sobotík, Pavel (referee)
The contents of this study is the investigation of model catalyst CeO2/Cu(111) by STM. The aim of the work is identifying the growth mode of CeO2/Cu(111), studying the surface morphology dependence on substrate temperature during the sample preparation and determination of the atomic structure of the prepared layers. In terms of evolution of substrate temperature during the deposition samples has been prepared by three different methods - a constant temperature, variable temperature, and annealing the sample after deposition. The growth mode of the layers CeO2 has been determined as 3D growth. Samples with different morphology have been prepared by varying temperature of substrate during the preparation. With decreasing sample preparation temperature the roughness and defect density on surface have been increasing. The best epitaxy has been achieved by temperature gradient preparation. Samples which have been prepared with temperature above 400řC have been partially covered by layer CeO2(100). Measurements with hight resolution have been performed on the samples with low coverage. The first three monolayers of CeO2 have shown a moir pattern which has been caused by mismatch in lattice parameters. Atomic resolution has been achieved only in the first and the second monolayer CeO2. The absence of defects in...
Scrabble
Dvořák, Filip ; Hric, Jan (referee) ; Babilon, Robert (advisor)
The subject matter of the submitted thesis is a study of the board game Scrabble and its transfer to electronic form. The object of this thesis is to present possible and used approaches in implementation of Scrabble systems and to present and evaluate data structures and algorithms used in those systems. The implementation of the chosen approaches is a part of this thesis. After the brief introduction into the rules of Scrabble and initiatory problem's analyse there are presented data structures used for dictionary storage, move generating algorithms and possible approaches in game strategies. The practical part of this thesis deals with chosen approaches and reasons why they were chosen. At the end of this thesis there is a summary of possible contributions of developed system and its possible following expansions.
QoS assurance in wireless networks
Dvořák, Filip ; Vychodil, Petr (referee) ; Vymazal, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor´s work deals with wireless network WiFi and describes basic standards and their supplements. This work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The first part of the work is applied to theoretic description of the best known standards IEEE 802.11 and detailed description of standard 802.11e. The second part of the work takes an interest in proposal and influence of service Wireless Multimedia in wireless network both in real world and in simulation program Opnet Modeler. Obtained results of the measurement are described and summarized in the conclusion.
Management of the Construction Project from Contractor's Point of View
Dvořák, Filip ; Poul, Kamil (referee) ; Nováková, Jana (advisor)
The thesis is dedicated to and at the same time explains the basic concepts concerning the management of the construction project from contractor's point of view. The aim of this work is guided by the principles, methods and procedures of the management during the construction project and their application to practical project of construction ,,Sportovní hala“ in Nové Veselí.
Geolocation in Internet using network topologies
Dvořák, Filip ; Verner, Lukáš (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
The thesis discusses about modern geolocation methods and it describes the basic principles of their work. The work is divided into 2 parts - the theoretical one and the practical one. The first part of the thesis is focused on the description of these methods and on the explanation of its basic concepts which are used for determining of the physical position of the station according to its IP address. The second more extensive part of the work focuses on the description of the realization of algorithm in the Octant method in the programming language of Java and its use in the experimental net of PlanetLab. One important thing is to create a set of reference points and targets, which are necessary for the testing of the whole algorithm of the Octant Method. The results of estimated accuracy of target location obtained by the Octant method and their comparison with the results obtained by active methods of CBG, SOI and with the passive method of GeoIP are listed at the end of this work.
Automatic shift for digital data recorder
Šuta, Václav ; Dvořák, Filip (referee) ; Diblík, Jan (advisor)
Master theses of Automatic Shift Control of the Digital Data Recorder is primarily concerned to design and construction of equipment used for measuring the half-width of the laser beam. The introductory part is devoted to the related theoretical basics and serves for better orientation in the following chapters. The second part is devoted to construction, completion and basic setting of product.
Laser beam shaping
Hantl, Josef ; Dvořák, Filip (referee) ; Hudcová, Lucie (advisor)
Thesis describes shortly types of waves and beams. Gaussian beam properties and parameters are described in more details, Gaussian beam is the most used in atmospheric optical links. The main goal of work is studying of possibilities of laser beam shaping, mainly the beam Top hat. In this project reasons why is suitable to shape laser beam for optical communications and the most used methods for shaping of laser beam are described. The suggested processes of beams shaping are experimentally verified and properties of beams shaped of single methods are compared with each other.
Fish Farming in Jindřichův Hradec region in the latter half of the 17th century
DVOŘÁK, Filip
Ponds, carp breeding and fish farming from the general point of view were an inseparable part of manor economy in the early modern period in Czech Lands. This thesis is aimed at the complex development of fish farming in the region of Jindřichův Hradec, specifically the manor of Kardašova Řečice, Červená Lhota, Stráž nad Nežárkou and Žirovnice. The author has concentrated mainly at the reconstruction of the local pond system and related issues. The other significant aspects are fish trade, technology of fish farming, everyday operation and distribution of natural salary. The thesis has proved the existence of complicated network of social-professional relations among the people participating in the whole production.
