Life with Down Syndrome Before and Now

This bachelor thesis deals with the lives of people with Down syndrome earlier times and present. The aim of the theoretical part is to provide readers with basic information about Down's syndrome. The work describes levels of mental retardation and forms of Down syndrome. Attention is paid to organizations that help such affected people. Emphasis is placed on the treatment of this disability and on the possibilities of education of children and adults. The practical part includes qualitative research. The goal is to get informations directly from families and people affected by Down syndrome. The interviews were to find out the differences in the attitude of society towards these people in earlier times and present. Part of the work is two case studies to bring readers closer to people with Down syndrome.
Use of reminiscence therapy for older people and people with dementia

This thesis focuses on elderly people. It focuses on people with dementia and on the importance of reminiscence therapy when working with these target groups. The thesis describes dementia and types of dementia, progression of dementia, prevention of dementia, needs of seniors and people with dementia. It gives theoretical description of reminiscence therapy and its use. Practical description of reminiscence based on particular personal research, which is carried out with the help of interviews, personal documentation studies, case studies and observation of seniors and people with dementia.
Integration and special education of visually impaired

Title: Integration and special education of visually impaired Purpose: The main objective of this work is to characterize the integration and special education of visually impaired people, to describe in detail a case study of one chosen client, who experienced the integration as well as the special education. Methods: The only participant in this study was a twenty-two years old man, who experienced in his educational process the integration as well as the special education. It is the qualitative study and the questions were answered by him and his close family members. Results: At the end of this study we deal with some questions, which we found interesting during the research. These questions are commented by the author in a discussion. Helping Autistic Childern In The APLA Institution

This bachelor thesis includes basic findings concerning Disorders from autistic spectrum. Theoretical part is divided into eight chapters. Following chapters describe NAUTIS organisation per se and case reports compiled and based on discussions. In the theoretical part I explained what means Disorders from autistic spectrum. It follows by history, ethology and Disorders from autistic spectrum. Furthermore analysis of each individual disorder, which should elucidate symptoms and behavior of people with Disorders from autistic spectrum. In the end of the theoretical part, the bachelor thesis is aboutdemography, organisations and legislativ impact. Practical part is compiled from cases based on discussions with families, where I work as an personal assistant. I work with the families more than a year and they were willing to cooperate with me.
The Integration of Children with ADHD in the Education System

This bachelor's thesis is especially about educational opportunities of children with AD(H)D in the Czech schools. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part is based on my experience with these children. The main target of this thesis is compiled on the basis of case reports and observations to map the behavior of children in the school environment and the education.
Assistant of teacher at an elementary school for children with specific learning disabilities

The thesis is divided into two parts. The first, theoretical part is divided into three chapters, which describe specific learning disabilities, education of pupils with specific learning disabilities and last part deals with the teaching assistant. The second part is practically oriented and the main one is to determine whether pupils third grade elementary school teacher's assistant fruitful work and whether his work reflected on the quality of pupils' school work and their results.
