Methods of Searching in Large Dat Sets
Húsek, Dušan ; Pokorný, J. ; Snášel, V. ; Řezanková, H.
The lecture digest present formal methods used in the area of information retrieval intent on large data collections. Data collections have increased rapidly in last decade so new methods based on statistics, linear algebra, neural network etc. can be used. Generally, we can image processing a large data collection placed in the highly dimensional space. The most important point during processing these data appears reduction of dimensionality.

A comparison of statistical packages such as SPSS, STATISTICA, and SAS Enterprise Guide.
Torboněnko, Natalja ; Řezanková, Hana (advisor) ; Pecáková, Iva (referee)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to compare three statistical software packages when applied to analysis of categorical data. These packages are SPSS, STATISTICA , and SAS Enterprise Guide. They provide a wide variety of statistical and graphical techniques, and enable users to obtain the results of statistical procedures, without requiring programming. The comparison between these packages were based upon some features such as data input, capability to define missing values, value labels, producing a frequency tables (including multiple response), making a bar graphs, descriptive statistics, Binomial test, Chi-square goodness-of-fit test.

Comparison of software products in the field of regression analysis
Kramulová, Jana ; Řezanková, Hana (advisor) ; Löster, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare the quality of nine software products in the field of regression analysis. Except for four statistical programs also two econometric programs representatives, two programs focused on mathematic modelling and Microsoft Excel are included into analysis. Programs are evaluated from different points of view (for example data import, work with missing values, quality of output, graphical options and so on). In the thesis regression analysis is used as a method for demonstration of dependence of ecological footprint on GDP per capita in world countries and also dependence of ecological reserve or deficit on biocapacity. Programs are evaluated by comparison analysis.
