Oxygen detection using gas sensor
Jelínek, Tomáš ; Pytlíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Prášek, Jan (advisor)
In this master´s thesis various types of gas sensors, their characteristics, principle, active layer and structure are described. This work is focused on semiconductor gas sensors. In the experimental part gas test station is used to measure the main characteristic of commercial sensor Figaro TGS 822 and own SnO2 gas sensors and reaction to oxygen. Both sensors and measurement results are compared with each other.
Electrochemical sensor array
Šulc, Jakub ; Prášek, Jan (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
In recent years (Of late year)microelectronic technology significantly affected in the field of sensor technology, especially in the field of electrochemical sensors. This thesis deals with design and construction of thick-film voltammetric sensors array. The reason for proposal of voltammetric sensors array is to increase of speed, increase the accuracy and extension possibilities measurement compared with common systems.By reason of increase of sensitivity of these sensors it is efficient use the potentiostat chip for measurement output signal. Created sensors must fulfill the specified parameters and also requirements of thick-film technology. Next step is design the basic blocks of electronic circuit used to evaluate the measured values.
The system for measurement of little flow
Karásek, Eduard ; Prášek, Jan (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
Diploma thesis solves how to create system for measurement of little liquid flows. The basic types of liquid flowmeter, which are possible used for measurement of little liquid flows, are described in the introduction part of thesis. The limit for little flow is often determined as flow 100 mg.min-1 and low. Second part of this thesis describes the ways of capillary production and practical experiments with them. Thesis is focused to thick film technology and LTCC technology. Next part of this work is solution of simple measuring unit for measurement of little flows less than 100 mg.min 1, which is controlled by microprocessor ATmega16. The measuring unit can be worked separately or can be connected to PC. The next possibility of flowmeter optimisation is summarized in end of thesis.
Chemorezistive gas sensor
Venkrbec, Lukáš ; Pytlíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Prášek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the detection of gases. Based on the research, the theoretical part is devoted to the principles and construction of chemical gas sensors, especially the chemoresistive gas sensors, mainly with the active layer consisting of metal oxides and carbon nanotubes. In the second half of the theoretical part the carbon nanostructures, their properties and the methodology of preparation are reviewed. The experimental part deals with the type of support structure, preparation of the active layer and the method of its deposition and he principle of detection. In the results and discussion, the thesis focuses on the detailed processing of the results and the evaluation of the response ammonia, the impact of the modifications and procedures. In the end, the results obtained are compared, both with each other and with the relevant literature.
Thick-film amperometric sensor array
Růžička, Tomáš ; Prášek, Jan (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
Supposed work deals with proposal and construction of thick-film amperometric sensor array. The reason of this proposal of sensor array is multiple increase of speed, increase of accuracy and enlargement of possibilities of measuring against current optical system. In theoretic part there is described method of seriography and electrochemical analytic method for determination of chemical elements in the solution. Practical part is composed of proposal of topology of electrochemical sensor electrodes, their comparison according to characteristics and subsequently of the proposal of sensor array. For testing of function of sensor array measuring by method of cyclical voltametry was done with the help of default electrochemical oxidative-reducing pair of potassium ferro-ferricyanide.
Gas sensor based on carbon nanoparticles
Morávek, Petr ; Pytlíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Prášek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with characterization of gas sensors based on carbon nanomaterials. In the theoretical chapter, the basic terms connected with the gas detection field, properties of different carbon nanoparticles and methods of their preparation are described. Practical experiments include the evaluation of samples` responses to ammonia, influence of annealing on their response and comparison of pure samples and their modifications.
Electrodes optimization of thick-film sensors
Křivka, Jan ; Ficek, Richard (referee) ; Prášek, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with thick-film sensor’s electrodes optimization. The main goal of this work is to find suitable design of the electrodes for the best and reproducible current response of thick-film sensors.
The lead detection in solders
Macháň, Ladislav ; Prášek, Jan (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with issues of lead detection in solder irons used in electrotechnics. The general aim is to study principles of quantitative heavy metal detection by the electrochemical methods, optimal method selection and construction of detecting instrument.
Effect of plasma oxidation of carbon working electrode on its electrochemical response
Koporec, Lukáš ; Prášek, Jan (referee) ; Majzlíková, Petra (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the effect of plasmatic oxidation of carbon working electrode on its electrochemical response. In the theoretical part, the thesis describes thick film technology, working carbon electrodes, cyclic voltammetry, contact angle measurement and plasma. Experimental part is dedicated to characterization of plasma modified electrode. Results are compare with unmodified electrodes.
Electrochemical detection of purine bases using thick film Cu2O electrodes
Gabriel, Petr ; Prášek, Jan (referee) ; Pekárková, Jana (advisor)
This work deals with the production process thick films electrodes. It is focused on the Cu2O working electrodes preparation by screen printing and spray coating - methods on the corundum substrate. In this work are described both methods of fabrication and basic electrochemical methods. Prepared Cu2O electrodes were used for electrochemical detection of purine bases (adenine, guanine) using cyclic voltammetry. The effect of pH on the detection of purines was also examines.
