Inverter for single-phase island network
Klčo, Michal ; Folprecht, Martin (referee) ; Procházka, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with a design and construction of voltage converter from 12 V DC to 230 V AC with frequency 50 Hz. Maximum output power of this device is 250 W. As a control circuit has been used IC TL494CN. The device includes undervoltage protection, which is applied if the voltage of the supply battery drops and protection against battery overcharging by solar panel. It also develops a proposal for integration the inverter into the island power system.
Full bridge DC-DC converter with transformer
Boháček, Daniel ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Folprecht, Martin (advisor)
This semestral thesis deals with the issue of full bridge DC-DC convecter with transformer. The aim of this semestral thesis is the design, construct and verification of functionality convecters, which will be used as laboratory tool.
Battery-powered welding inverter
Starec, Stanislav ; Folprecht, Martin (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This master thesis is focused on proposition and following implementation of DC arc welder. This paper is based on semester’s paper, where the first version was realized. The welder is powered by a battery pack with LiFePO4 type cells. Battery cells are protected by BMS circuits. The driving electronics controls the duty cycle step-down (buck) converter in a closed current or power regulation loop. The power regulator has been designed and validated by simulations. Switching power transistors, low side and high side, are implemented by optically isolated gate drivers. Charging the battery is solved by a switching flyback converter. For the charger and the welder is sheet metal construction made of aluminum sheet.
Low Power High Voltage Step-Down Converter
Folprecht, Martin
This article refers about problematics of DC/DC converters. Basic topologies of DC/DC converters with and without pulse transformer are mentioned in this article. There is also a focus on some IC drivers and controllers used for converters without pulse transformer. The main part of the article is reserved for the description of the step-down converter powered from voltage in excess of 100 V, which is able to work in application, where special IC controller cannot be used.
Electromagnetic power actuators
Kadlecová, Lucie ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Folprecht, Martin (advisor)
This master thesis focuses on literature research of problematics linked to power actuators working on electromagnetic principle to accelerate metal projectiles. It’s goal is mathematical analysis and constuction of selected type of electromagntic power actuator – induction coilgun
Push-pull converter powered from board network
Kudláček, Pavel ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Folprecht, Martin (advisor)
The thesis deals with a theoretical design of push-pull converter for use in a car. In the thesis is described calculation of impulse transformator, output choke, thermal and voltage design of used semiconductor components, solution propose of control and regulation circuits, practical realization of converter and verification of its properties.
