Ecological Application of Carbon Dioxide and Its Use in Sustainable Chemistry
Bušta, K. ; Wagner, Zdeněk
Carbon dioxide, which is mostly waste of chemical processes and of combustion processes, finds currently a wide scope of application as a versatile technical gas, as one of basic building blocks for synthesis in organic chemistry. A great many applications in the technical area contribute to the protection of the environment and human health. Zadejte text nebo adresu webu nebo přeložte dokument. Volumetric Properties of Ternary Liquid System Composed of Methyl tert-Butyl Ether, Toluene, and Isooctane at Temperatures from 298.15 K to 328.15 K. Experimental Data and Their Correlation
Morávková, Lenka ; Wagner, Zdeněk ; Sedláková, Zuzana ; Linek, Jan
The densities and speeds of sound of the methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) + toluene + isooctane system were measured at four temperatures over the range 298.15 K to 328.15 K, and the respective values of excess volumes EVm and adiabatic compressibility κS were calculated. The EVm and κS values for the ternary and corresponding binaries were fitted to the modified Redlich–Kister equation considering various number of ternary constants. The necessary number of ternary constants needed to describe the system within experimental error is discussed.
Solubility of Ionic Liquids in Binary Systems with Water and Pseudobinary Systems with Solution Methanol/Water (1:1 Proportion of Weight)
Machanová, Karolina ; Bendová, Magdalena ; Sedláková, Zuzana ; Wagner, Zdeněk ; Aim, Karel
In this work, a study of solubilities of the above-mentioned ionic liquids in binary systems with water and pseudo-binary systems with solution methanol/water (1:1 proportion of weight) is presented. Knowledge of solubility of ionic liquids in these particular systems is helpful in the design and optimization of homogeneous catalytic processes, such as biphasic and reversibly biphasic catalysis. The solubilities were investigated by two experimental methods – the cloud-point and volumetric method.
High-Pressure Measurements in Binary System Containing Supercritical CO2 and 1-Butanol
Sedláková, Zuzana ; Bendová, Magdalena ; Wagner, Zdeněk ; Aim, Karel
The aim of this contribution is to test the Supercritical Phase Monitor apparatus by comparing solubility of ethanol or 1-butanol in supercritical CO2 to literature data. New experimental data were also obtained.
Volumetric Behaviour of Binary and Ternary Liquid Systems Composed of Toluene, Isooctane and Methyl tert-Butyl Ether at Temperatures from 298.15 K to 328.15 K
Linek, Jan ; Morávková, Lenka ; Wagner, Zdeněk
The densities and speeds of sound of the binary systems toluene plus isooctane, MTBE plus toluene and MTBE plus isooctane and of the ternary system toluene plus isooctane plus MTBE were measured at four temperatures within 298.15 K and 328.15 K, and the respective values of excess volumes EVm and adiabatic compressibility κS were calculated. The EVm and κS values of the binary systems were fitted to the Redlich-Kister equation on applying the weighted gnostic method. The EVm values for the MTBE plus toluene system are negative and decreasing with increasing temperature. The other binary systems show positive EVm with comparatively small temperature dependence. The volumetric data on the binaries and the ternary are of practical importance and besides, serve for testing the correlation procedures for fitting and predicting ternary data from binary ones.

The paper presents a method for filtration of particle count measurement in the time domain. The goal of this method is to remove extremal values caused by short-time instrument malfunction but preserve values representing fast events. The method offers interpolation of particle size distribution so that in can correlated with other variables measured at different time intervals.
Rozpustnost 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ethylsulfátu v superkritickém CO2
Bendová, Magdalena ; Sedláková, Zuzana ; Wagner, Zdeněk
In this contribution was studied by the synthetic method. A Thar Technologies Supercritical Phase Monitor was used to carry out the measurements. To check the accuracy of the synthetic apparatus, phase behavior of the binary mixture MTBE plus CO2 was measured both by means of the synthetic method and using a high-pressure phase equilibrium apparatus built in our laboratory. The acquired data were subsequently modeled by a cubic SRK-based equation of state proposed by Yokozeki and Shiflett.
Měření (P, Vm, T) chování systému oktan + benzen při teplotách 298.15 K až 328.15 K a při tlacích do 40 MPa
Morávková, Lenka ; Wagner, Zdeněk ; Linek, Jan
The densities of (octane + benzene) were measured at elevated pressures (0.1 to 40) MPa at four temperatures over the range 298.15 K to 328.15 K with a high-pressure apparatus. The high-pressure density data were fitted to the Tait equation and the isothermal compressibilities were calculated with a novel computation procedure with the aid of this equation. The lowand high-pressure values of excess molar volume V E m calculated from the density data show that the deviations from ideal behaviour in the system are practically independent of temperature and decreases slightly as the pressure is raised. The V E m data were fitted to the fourth-order Redlich–Kister equation, with the maximum likelihood principle being applied for the determination of the adjustable parameters.
Rovnováha kapalina-kapalina v binárním systému [bmim][PF6] + 1-Butanol. Experimentální data a jejich termodynamický popis
Bendová, Magdalena ; Wagner, Zdeněk
The present contribution addresses a study of liquid-liquid equilibrium in binary system 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (abbr. [bmim][PF6]) + 1-butanol. Experimental liquid phase behaviour was investigated using a volumetric method and a cloud-point method, the former enabling us to obtain tie lines (compositions of equilibrium phases), the latter providing points of the solubility curve.
