Possible Approaches to Measuring of Social Progress:over The Stiglitz Commission´s proposals

The aim of my work after collecting and studying the available literature is to describe how to measure the social progress, which indicators of this term can we use, what are their disadvantages and mention proposals to improve them or create new, more complex indicators recommended by the so-called Stiglitz Commission. A short charter also deals summary of Stiglitz life. It also pays particular attention to term sof GDP, the quality of life and sustainable developement, for which estimates the Commission wals to find such a comprehensive indicator that would provide all neceséry informatik about these concepts. In my work I also try to capture the most important shortcomings the Commission sees on the gross domestic product.
Causes and consequences of economic inactivity in the Czech Republic

The aim of study is to analyze the causes of economic inactivity in the Czech population of working age. Attention is focused on its development, deeper understanding of the structure of the population and the consequences for him mean. The first section presents the concept of economic status, population and methods used by survey data in this area. Next chapters deals with the particular reasons for economic inactivity, such as education, retirement and disability pensions and other reasons that are asked in the Labour Force Survey conducted by the Czech Statistical Office. In the development there is particularly noticeable the prolonged duration of education of young population and the increasing age of retirement. The study continues with the analysis of the age and educational structure and development of the economically active population of working age. The last chapter analyses the issue of the average length of economic activities according to individual education based on the tables of economic activity.
The incidence, prevalence, letality and fatality from cancers in the Czech Republic

In the past few decades, the Czech Republic took place significant changes in mortality rates. The objective of this study is to determine the development of cancer in the Czech Republic over the last forty years. Indicators of morbidity and mortality are being used. Emphasis is placed on the current development of all cancers in this country and further detail on those cancers that affect most of our population. In the very end, based on the results of the mortality tables, are analyzed the changes in life expectancy depending on the elimination of the deaths of some cancers. This model can use as an idea of how many years would, on average, our population lingered longer, if the cancer did not cause of death.
History and present of Population and Housing Census in our territory

Just completed Census 2011 caused a number of issues, in particular whether this type of investigation is required for the company. The theme of the work presented is not only the last assessment, but in particular the analysis of the previous censuses from the perspective of survey data and information, ways of implementation of the censuses, processing and presentation of data, with emphasis on continuity in these areas. The main objective of the work is to compare the data of survey in each of the censuses from the history to the present. On the basis of the results of this comparison are selected data with continuous time series and these are then analyzed in more detail. Their representation is used in addition to the absolute and the relative data in tables and column, line and pie charts.
Projection of future development of economically active population

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the structure of the population of the Czech Republic in terms of education and economic activity and then draw out its future development. To this variations of the projection is included the development of economic activity in the population compared to the standard demographic projections. This approach allows better assessment of future development economically active parts of the population by its actual participation in the labor market, and not only by age group, as it is in most demographic projections. This work also includes analysis of sex-education-age structure of the population and analysis the reasons for economic inactivity.
Men vs. women - comparative analysis with using selected statistical data

The goal of the work is to ascertain the structure of employment in the Czech Republic in 2008 and its evolution from 1993 to 2008. And whether in the country, there is discrimination in pay between men and women. The introductory chapter describes some basic concepts relating to employment and other gender concepts further describes the types of data collection (survey) and classification according to which sort the data obtained. In the second, analytical part, the focus is on finding employment structure, its development over the past fifteen years, and the effect it can have on wage differences. In conclusion, the assessment of the situation of discrimination in the Czech Republic
Statistics and sportsbook

This bachelor thesis describes the history and fundamental terminology of sportsbook. In theoretical part it describes how to become successful bookmaker and explains specific procedures. In practical part are these procedures applied to real outputs and there's given a solution how to process analysis of sportsbook on the rebound. There are further analysed the lottery and betting games as a complex unit, in which it's finding specific trend and it also deals with the return rate in single games. The last part of the thesis describes frequency testing of relative hypotheses, which are based on favorite betting analysis. During this testing there is compared this frequency in individual seasons and also in a single season.
Statistical Analysis and Multivariate Methods in MS Excel

The aim of this thesis is creating an application in Microsoft Office Excel 2003 that allows user to solve problems using some statistical analysis methods. This application is provided in stat.xls file, which is the main part of the thesis. The XLS file enables Excel to applicate methods of univariate and bivariate categorical analysis of frequencies, univariate, bivariate and even multivariate analysis of quantitative data and index analysis of economic data. To applicate the methods the file uses various forms, Excel R1C1 and Array formulas, macros and VBA code. The file is executable with Microsoft Office Excel 2003 or newer versions. The file is suitable mainly as utility for study of statistical methods and it can also be used with an extensive data file. In addition to the stat.xls file, a part of the thesis is also a text output, which contains description of the chosen statistical analysis methods, description of creating the file stat.xls itself and illustration of the file's functions on specific examples.
Financial and statistical analysis of success of chosen companies

This thesis refers to an assessment of the stability of two comparable companies. Statistical methods bring out reasons for different process in this companies. Chosen statistical methods include analysis of time series and ratio analysis. These two methods are based on separating of ratios into components and analysing them. The end of the thesis informs about stability of compenies and offers a solution in case of financial collapse.
Disability pensions and survivor benefits in Czech Republic

The graduation thesis addresses the questions of disability pensions and survivor benefits in Czech Republic. The first chapter handles the definitions of the concepts used in terms of pension insurance, the characteristic of pension system generally and the legal regulations of the contemporary system. The second chapter analyses the full and the partial disability pensions. The third chapter describes the widow's, the widower's and the orphan's pensions. The fourth chapter contains the analysis of the contemporary pension system since the implementation of the present valid legal regulation until the year 2007, with focus on disability pensions and survivor benefits. Sub chapter 4.1 contains analytical forecast of the amount spent on pensions and of the number of each type of pensioners. The fifth chapter targets the forecasting of the demographic development of the population in Czech Republic, the problems of contemporary pension system and the proposed modifications within the new reform of the pension system.
