Discomfort glare of non-uniform luminaires
Polián, Josef ; Baxant, Petr (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
Artificial lighting is an integral part of our everyday life. Nowadays, a large number of people spend practically all their productive time in the presence of the artificial lighting system. This places considerable demands on the quality of this artificial lighting system. One of the indicators of the quality of the lighting system is the evaluation of glare. The UGR evaluation methodology is currently used to evaluate glare. However, the UGR rating has its limitations. These limitations include ambiguous assessments of luminaires with non-uniform luminous surface (so - called non - uniform luminaires). This diploma thesis deals with the issue of discomfort glare of non-uniform luminaires. The aim is to make a literature review of this issue. The first part focuses on theoretical knowledge of glare and its evaluation. Another part is an analysis of recent studies on the topic about glare from non-uniform types of luminaires. The last chapters of the thesis deal with own practical evaluation of glare.
Luminaire position influence on measured parameters in integrating sphere.
Vlček, Pavel ; Škoda, Jan (referee) ; Motyčka, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of the position of luminaires with narrow radiation characteristics when measured in the integrating sphere. The basic light technical parameters are summarized here. Especially, luminous flux, illuminance, solid angle, luminous intesity and luminance, followed by colour temperature and general colour rendering index. This thesis also deals with the measuring instruments, at first with the basic element, which is the photoelement and then with the following instruments: the illuminance meter, the luminance meter, the spectroradiometer, the goniophotometer and the integrating sphere. The thesis is summarization of the basic information about luminaires. This theory is followed by a laboratory measurement that deals with the measurement of luminaires on a goniophotometer and in the integrating sphere. Goniophotometer measurements are important in conditions of acquire accurate luminous flux. The luminous flux from the goniophotometer is compared with the single measured values in the set positions when measured in the integrating sphere. As a result, the position of the luminaire in the integrating sphere is influenced

Pavlinský, Branislav ; Novák, Filip (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
Nowadays, a large number of people spend a lot of time in the presence of artificial lighting and therefore artificial lighting and the correct design of such lighting is very important. This work deals with the evaluation of the original state of the lighting system of the production hall and the design of a new lighting system. Lighting design is solved using the RELUX program. Luminaires from the Czech manufacturer TREVOS were used to design the lighting.
Inovating methods for color fidelity index evaluation of LED.
Novák, Filip ; Škoda, Jan (referee) ; Motyčka, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is aimed to compare different methodologies of calculating color rendering indicators, because for modern light sources based on LED the traditional color rendering index Ra might be insufficient. The first part of this paper is based on explaining the basics, such as different methods of producing visible light, photometric quantities, or various CIE color spaces. The second and main part revolves around description of spectroradiometers, and calculation procedures for calculating color rendering indicators according to CIE 013.3-1995, CQS, IES TM-30-15, and CIE 224:2017. In the next chapter the mentioned indexes are then calculated for a given sample of light sources, and the results are subsequently evaluated.
Simulation of LED retrofits under operational conditions
Tomeš, Martin ; Pavelka, Tomáš (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
This Master’s Thesis on Simulation of LED retrofits under operational conditions is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part in the introductory section deals with the concepts of lighting technology and presents some electric light sources, such as classic bulbs, halogen bulbs, linear and compact fluorescent lamps. It also describes the principle of electroluminescent light sources (LED), which discusses principles of yielding a white light, the main advantages of LED etc. The reader is familiar with the issue of compensation the linear fluorescent lamps tubular LED source and with the work environment programme ReluxPro that is used for design of the lighting system. Practical part of the thesis is divided into two chapters. In the first chapter, measured linear fluorescent lamps and LED modules for the light-technical parameters, luminous intensity, radiation spectrum and settling time of light sources are evaluated and compared. The second chapter is solved by using ReluxPro, which explores the impact on the lighting and the brightness of the room layout SA 5.10 while using various light sources. In conclusion, there is an economic aspect of linear fluorescent lamps and LED modules analyzed. Results from the program ReluxPro are continuously compared with real measured values.
