Feasibility study of small hydro power plant on the river Papradnianka in the district of Povážská Bystrica
Barenčík, Ladislav ; Haluza,, Miloslav (referee) ; Šulc, Jan (advisor)
The main purpose of this bachelor's thesis is the design of conceptual solution of a small hydroelectric power plant on the river Papradnianka in the Prúdy area and a feasibility assessment of this project. Hydrological data and a selection of the most appropriate type of power plant are revaluated in the first part of this bachelor's thesis. A selection of appropriate technology and individual parts of small hydroelectric power plant are described in the following part. Economic return of this project is assessed in the last part. According to the results of this bachelor's thesis, this project is technically realizable, but the return of investment is big due to current prices of energy .
Influence of plan radius on discharging capacity of weir
Lukášek, Petr ; Haluza,, Miloslav (referee) ; Šulc, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on plan radius weirs. The part of this work is also summary of the information about weirs, principally about plan radius weirs. Executed model research, dealing with determination of influence of plan radius on discharging capacity of these weirs in comparison to straight weir, is evaluated in another part of this work. The research is also dealing with the effect of design of a spillway channel on capacity of the weir. This work compares the results of executed research with results of other authors, who are dealing with plan radius morning glory spillway.
Shaping discharge chamber of hollow cone valve
Nehudek, Adam ; Haluza,, Miloslav (referee) ; Šulc, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is dealing with the design and position of the discharge chamber of hollow cone valve and is based on model research. The research response especially to the existing bottom outlets, where the position of valve is changed as opposed to the current position. The change of the valve position causes construction interventions minimization and also required financial resources are minimized. The other case is to interchange the old cone valve and the new one. This action is supporting the idea of valve spare parts unfication. In the research has been defined the automodeling area of outlet jet diversion from valve axis for different remoteness between water surface level and valve. The outflow jet diversion angle from valve axis has been measured in relation with relative valve opening. The coefficient of outflow has been specified in relation with relative valve opening. Furthermore, it has been searched for the position of discharge plane, where the discharging is done without backsplash. The last part of model tests was the discharge effect evaluation of most used chamber shapes. In the final chapter has been recomended the optimal shape and position of discharge chamber in dimensionless units, relative to the inlet diameter of the valve, all this based on results of model research. These results will enable reliable and efficient design of additional adjustments of discharge chamber shapes.
