Trends of the Consumption of Antidepressants in the Czech Republic in the period 2003-2008

Identifying the trend and volume of consumption of antidepressants - the code N06A in the Czech Republic in the period 2003-2008 using data from the Všeobecná zdravotní pojišťovna ČR and a comparison based on specific criteria: regional (consumption by region), gender (consumption by gender), age (consumption by age groups), season and month (consumption in different seasons and months) and ATC groups (consumption by chemical / therapeutic / pharmacological subgroups N06A * - 4th level ATC class and consumption by subgroups of chemical substances N06A ***, ie . active substances - 5th level ATC classification). A rough estimate of possible share of depressive and neurotic disorders found in consumption, based on additional data from the database of the Všeobecná zdravotní pojišťovna ČR.

Financial Analysis as a Part of Company Strategy

The goal of this master's thesis is to provide the management of the selected undertaking with a view of possible weaknesses of their management, which may lead to problems in the future, threats present on the market having a negative external impact on the undertaking and to show the management opportunities arising from the external environment as well as strengths of their management. These recommendations will be formulated in the form of action plan. To achieve the goal of the master's thesis means to prepare the financial analysis, i.e. the internal analysis of the undertaking concerned that will serve as a source material on the basis of which strengths and weaknesses pertaining to the SWOT analysis will be formulated. To be able to prepare a competent SWOT analysis, I will perform two selected external analyses of the environment concerned, which are the PEST analysis and the Porter's Five Forces Model. These two external analyses will provide a framework depicting external factors such as opportunities and threats arising from the market. They will make it possible to compile a full-valued SWOT matrix. Based on this performed SWOT analysis, I will prepare the action plan formulating recommendations for the management of the undertaking focused on the elimination of the weaknesses of the undertaking as well as of the threats arising from the market, or possibly on the use of the opportunities present on the market and consolidation of the undertaking's strengths.

Ensuring the quality of health care by paramedical staff

The aim of the thesis was to define and map various indicators of health care quality that are monitored in the Jindřichův Hradec Hospital. It was further checked whether the National Accreditation Standards for Hospitals pertaining to paramedical staff were observed and monitored in the hospital. Finally, individual indicators and standards were assessed and solutions were suggested where any shortcomings occurred.

Health Care Quality in relation to the Accreditation of a Health Care Facility

The aim of this paper is description of the accreditation process in a healthcare facility, mapping out the possible problems related to the implementation of accreditation standards and the influence of accreditation on the quality of health care in a healthcare facility. The basic conditions of the healthcare facility readiness for the national SAK-ČR accreditation are the same as for any other quality management system. The point is to look at the individual processes from a different viewpoint and to find a way of engaging all employees in the entire process. It is necessary for them in particular to understand the programme philosophy, the process management, the term client, the strategy of solving problems, the rules of implementation and the organizational structure of the healthcare facility. The most demanding job is to motivate the employees and keep them aware of the continuous improvement. This paper consists of a theoretical part, a practical part and a proposal for improvement of observed shortcomings.

Optimization of Providing Dialysis Care to Patients in a chosen Heath Care Facility

This thesis deals with the profitability of sales of the dialysis care provider. The main aim of the work was to optimise the dialysis care in Jindrichuv Hradec hospital. Mentioned proposed solution concerns personnel and technical aspects and particular elimination methods. Another aim of the work was to clarify the reimbursement system of the particular dialysis methods, to compare economic results with the profitability of the dialysis care in the years 2006 and 2007. The author endeavoured to create possible ways of the development based on the knowledge of the number of patients and the insurance company reimbursement system. Necessary data and information were acquired from Jindrichuv Hradec hospital reports. This work is thought to contribute to enrich the practical usage and its results can be used by the hospital management or anybody interested in the dialysis care and its economic aspects.

Hodnocení úhradového mechanismu poskytovatelů zdravotní péče ? možnost různých variant.

Zdravotnické systémy, způsoby financování a úhradové mechanismy mezi elementárními subjekty ?občan/pacient ? poskytovatel ? třetí strana (plátce)? jsou to, čím se zabývá tato práce. Jsou popsány a vzájemně porovnány jednotlivé zdravotnické systémy používané ve vyspělých zemích světa, konkretizovány na Spolkové republice Německo, Velké Británii a Spojených státech amerických. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována současnému zdravotnickému systému ČR včetně připravovaného návrhu na jeho změnu a důvodům, které hovoří pro jeho reformu.

Reforma zdravotníctva v SR

Zdravotníctvo je aktuálnou témou na celom svete. Každá krajina sa k riešeniu problémov v zdravotníctve stavia odlišným spôsobom. Ako sa k tomuto problému stavia Slovenská republika poukazuje diplomová praca. Cieľom práce je priblížiť realizáciu reformy a jej priebeh v základných krokoch. Prvá časť obsahuje definíciu základných pojmov v systéme zdravotníctva. Druhá časť poukazuje na samotnú reformu a ako vnímajú jednotlivé reformné zmeny zainteresované subjekty. Posledná kapitola práce zisťuje, či reforma zdravotníctva, ktorú plánuje Česka republika, má podobné návrhy k riešeniu problému ako už realizovaná reforma na Slovensku.
