The minimum wage in the Czech Republic and the European Union

The aim of my work is to describe the position of minimum wage in the Czech Republic and to insight its relationship with the other income quantities. In the first part I concentrated on the terms of related with minimum wage and after that I dealer with the development of minimum wage and I analyze its relationship with other income quantities. The last part compares the level of minimum wage in the Czech Republic with the other member states of the European Union where the minimum wage is determined by the law.
Competitiveness of the Czech Republic in International Comparison

This diploma thesis focuses on competitiveness of the Czech Republic compared with other states of the Visegrad Group and Slovenia. The paper is divided into three parts. The first part is aimed at specification of the term competitiveness and the criticism of the concept of national competitiveness. The second part focuses on measuring of competitiveness. The last part analyzes competitiveness of the Czech Republic and other observed states.

The aim of my work is mainly to capture the evolution of statutory minimum wages and unemployment in the European Union and determine whether and under what situations can affect unemployment. The Thesis describes the establishment and gradual extension of the minimum wage over the world. In additional, I deal with legal regulation and its mechanism of implementation of the EU, the Czech Republic is always devoted a separate chapter. Completes the entire Thesis description and subsequent analysis of the impact of minimum wages on employment.
Czech labour market

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the situation in the labour market in the Czech Republic during the period 2004 -- 2011 and compare the development of selected indicators in the Czech labour market with other states in the European Union. The thesis seeks a comprehensive approach and focuses attention on key issues such as long-term unemployment and the problems of women, older workers or graduates. The thesis also includes a demonstration of the impact of demographic aging on the labour market. The conclusion describes some options for solving selected problems of the labour market and the general approach of employment policy.
Analysis of the application of flexible forms of work in the Czech Republic and selected countries of European Union

This bachelor thesis deals with a phenomenon of flexible forms of the work in the Czech Republic and chosen countries of the European Union. The study is divided into three parts. In the first part we can find theoretical determination of flexibility on the labour market. In the second part there is an analysis of flexible works in the Czech Republic, Netherlands and Slovenia performed. The last part is the final, with a summary of observed facts and with international comparison of the situation on the labour market.
Long-term unemployment in Europe

This bachelor thesis is focused on the long-term unemployment in Europe, specifically in the EU and Norway in 2001-2011. The first part defines long-term unemployment and describes its basic characteristics. In the second part of this thesis is analysis of trend of the long-term unemployment rate and long-term unemployment in % of unemployment. Analysis is also divided by sex and age group. There is also investigation of the dependence between educational structure of the population and the long-term unemployment rate by correlation analysis.

The main aim of this thesis is to analyse the labour market situation in the Czech Republic during the period of 2004-2011, compare choosen indexes with other states of the EU, assess employment policy of the Czech Republic, rate achieve the objectives of Lisbon Treaty and describe Czech national goals which are in accordance with strategy Europe 2020. To achieve these goals I use the data from Czech Statistical Office.

Bachelor thesis analyses the labour market of Středočeský region throught years 2006 - 2011. The goal is to analyse the number of unemployed people and number of vacancies in this region. Then to detect the effect of the economic crisis to those indicators and to the labour market of this region. The theoretical part will be about the labour market and unemployment. The analysis itself will take place in the practical part. At first by the region itself, then by the districts. The result will be a statistical analysis of all districts and their comparison among each other and to the region itself. The conclusion will summarize the findings and evaluate the effect of all districts to the region. Furthermore if the economic crisis effected the labour market in this region and if yes, then how much.
Comparison of development of Gross Domestic Product in the European Union

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the comparison of development of gross domestic product in the European Union. The aim of the work then is to analyze the development of gross domestic product in the European Union from 1996 to 2011. Between 1996 and 2005 will be made general analysis of the impact and the main attention will be focused on the years 2006 to 2011. In the second section of the analysis will be compared gross value added of sectors by using the production approach of calculating Gross Domestic Product.
The Great Depression of 1929-33 and the current crisis

This thesis addresses the subject of the Great Depression of 1929-1933 and the current crisis and finally compares the work of both themes. The introduction takes us to the 1920s and points out mistakes the developed countries committed and which led to a colossal collapse of the economy. The significant part of the work deals with the initial impact of the current crisis on the population in terms of social impact and introduces us to the macroeconomic indicators. It examines the causes that triggered the crisis. The work is based on the study of literature dealing with the Great Depression of the 1930s and the current crisis and processing of newspaper economics.
