Selectivity of Wet Oxidation in Trickle Bed Reactor under Periodically Modulated Feed Rate
Chyba, V. ; Tukač, V. ; Hanika, Jiří
Wet air oxidation of phenol in water solution using active carbon catalyst pellets was used as a model reaction of the process. Experiments were made using bench scale stainless steal trickle bed reactor at temperature 125 ů 170 oC and pressure 1 ů 7 MPa intervals. The higher reactor throughput at periodically modulated liquid feed rate in comparison to the continuous reactor regime was observed. The optimal reactor control parameters ůperiod length and split- were determined in the study.

Selective Catalytic Cracking of Higher Alkenes
Kolena, J. ; Morávek, P. ; Bortnovsky, O. ; Tukač, V. ; Hanika, Jiří
New type of zeolite catalyst of ZSM-5 type partially transformed to acidic form with improved selectivity has been developed in the study. After catalyst modification by cerium ion the selectivity was moreover increased. Catalytic cracking of 1-hexene to propylene was used as a test reaction. Kinetic model parameters of the reaction system were identified by AspenPlus software application. The catalyst deactivation kinetics was investigated too.

Hydrogenace thymolu ve zkrápěném reaktoru
Dudas, J. ; Hanika, Jiří ; Lepuru, J. ; Barhuysen, M.
the main objective of the investigation was to collect experimental data for scale up for the hydrogenation of thymol in a trickle bed reactor. Based on bench scale data and process simulation using physico-chemical parameters and measured reaction kinetics, a pilot scale reactor has been designed during this study. One major focus of the work was the determination of the limetife of a commercially available nickel catalyst.
