Thermal waters of the western Bohemia and energetic potential of the Vridlo spring

This thesis summarizes the basic general knowledge of geology and geological evolution of western Bohemia. But above all, deals with the occurrence of thermal water, its origin and development. Describes in detail the local springs on the earth's surface, water yield and temperatures. More characteristic is given the hottest spring in the Czech Republic and that is the Vřídlo in Karlovy Vary. This thesis also deals with the energy potential thermal waters and their possible applications. The conclusion includes a total reflection on the issue thermal water and their use in the future.
Impacts of brown-coal mining on the water-bearing system of Sokolov coal basin with aspects of Karlovy Vary thermal springs protection

To assess possible impact of the brown coal extraction in the Sokolov basin on Karlovy Vary thermal springs. Hydrogeological, hydrological, hydrochemical and geotechnical data, records regarding mining progress and implementation of protective measures in open-pit mines and also other available data from the point of view of changes of thermal water regime in the basin bedrock.
