Trade mark law and the issue of parallel imports in Czech, EU and US law

100 Parallel importation and trademark law in the Czech Republic, EU and USA Parallel imports are a non-counterfeit (genuine) goods, bearing a trademark, intended for sale in one country, but instead put on market without the consent of the trademark owner in another country. The price of parallelly imported good is actually lower than the price of the authorized good, due to several factors: currency exchange rates, laws, taxes, logistical expenditures etc. It is not only the price, but also other features of the merchandise, such as the appearance, required characteristics and customer safety measures that differ from the ones of the authorized goods. Such differences may damage the goodwill consumers associate with the trademark. Trademarks are protected dependently on national laws, therefore different countries address the issue differently. There is no international treaty that would solve the problem of parallel importation on international level. No consent has ever been unanimously reached. The issue of parallel importation is closely connected to the doctrine of exhaustion. Various countries apply national exhaustion whereas others apply international/global one. Setting up an evaluation system based on employee skills matrix

This thesis is concerned with the set up of an evaluation employee system which is based on the matrix of ability. The theoretical part describes the motivational system, appraisal system and competency model. In addition, this part of the thesis explains the difference between the importance of qualifications and education, and subsequently the ways of deepening and increasing of qualifications is described. The matrix of qualification is going to be defined, which is based on my findings and experiences with it, and the final part of my thesis deals with additional employee rewards. The practical part is focused on the fulfillment of set targets. In this part, the matrix of qualification of a company from town Vimperk is explained, in particular its utilization, and in addition its possible strengths and weaknesses are pointed out. Furthermore, the practical part is concerned with the inclusion of the matrix of qualification in the reward system and in the system of personal appraisal.

Parental Separation and Its Impact on Adolescent Children

The focus of this bachelor thesis is on parental separation and divorce and their impact on adolescent children. Based on literature research, the theoretical part defines the basic terms related to the current family and cohabitation issues. It also focuses on the possibilities of child upbringing (sole custody, shared custody, joint custody). The practical part presents the findings about how children experience their parents? separation, whether and how parents talk to their children about their situation, how the decision about possible maternal or paternal custody is reached and what impact parental divorce or separation has on their children.

ABSTRACT Grammar mistakes of the German learning Czechs The thesis is focused on morphological and syntax mistakes of German learning Czechs. The most important definitions, classifications and sources of mistakes are summarized in the first part. In the next part are systematically described the concrete mistakes of Czechs, as well as their sources, mainly the linguistic interferences between and within languages. The last part contains authentic texts written in German by Czech students or pupils. The grammar mistakes in the texts are marked and analyzed.

Finanční podpora rodin s dětmi

Práce se zaměřuje na finanční podporu rodin s dětmi v ČR. Jsou zde vymezeny dávky státní sociální podpory, sociální péče a nemocenského pojištění, slevy na dani a společné zdanění manželů. V praktické části bylo provedeno zhodnocení výše výplat dávek ze strany státu a analýza manželů, nesezdaného páru a matky samoživitelky z hlediska nároků na finanční podporu.
