Maps for mentally handicapped people

The thesis deals with problems of creating maps for people with developmental disabilities. After analysis, it was necessary to admit that types of maps intended for people with developmental disabilities do not exist. Therefore, it was suggested to do our own cartographic work in co-operation with schools for students with developmental disabilities. It ought to make working with maps easier, especially for students attending schools for people with developmental disabilities. Three charts of the Czech Republic were created in scale 1 : 2 000 000. Subsequently a plan of Zlín was created in scale 1 : 4 000. The whole thesis is connected with issues of developmental disabilities, special education, especially educating of students with developmental disabilities. The main aim is joining creation cartographic work with intellectual level of people with developmental disabilities.

The Risk Factors and General Awareness of Eating Disorders at Pupils Attending Elementary School from the 6th to 9th class

This thesis deals with the issue of eating disorders of pupils attending upper primary schools of rural and urban type. The issue of eating disorders is very complex and public often fails to understand it. People do not see the fact that the food and its rejection can turn into a real habit. Eating disorders are not only observed in young women, but also increasingly in children and adolescents. Eating disorders involve serious psychosomatic disorders, significantly affecting the mental and physical status. Thus, they may very negatively affect personality development from childhood to adulthood. They are accompanied with many somatic problems and complications and they can have a very negative influence to the overall health status of an individual. Eating disorders cause long-term problems not only to patients themselves but also to their families, spouses and friends. It is very easy to fall ill with eating disorder, but is very hard to get better.

Contemporary situation and possibilities of solving children´s smoking.

The paper has theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part involves information on smoking history, substances contained in cigarettes and it also focuses on smoking impacts to children health, adults, pregnant women and human fertility. Other sections focus on smoking and related legislation, a theory of addiction development and its treatments. The theoretical part ends with the detailed description of a juvenile smoking phenomenon focusing on prevention schemes, how to prevent children from starting smoking and why and when children start smoking.

Dynamics of ground vegetation in climax spruce forests in the Krkonose Mts in different stages of decline during a period after a considerable reduction in SO2 pollution

Our study focuses on ground vegetation dynamics in declining mountain Norway spruce forests during the period 1995-2006 following a considerable decrease in SO2 pollution. We showed that ground vegetation development shifted from the prevailing mosses and vegetation-free sites covered with spruce litter to a dominance of Avenella flexuosa during the earlier period of massive decline in the observed ecosystems (i.e. until 1995). The gradual spruce stand decline, accompanied by an expansion of ground vegetation into the spruce litter microsites, generally proceeded also in the period 1995-2002. In the period 2002-2006, ground vegetation responded to the interruption of trees dying, stopped its expansion into spruce litter microsites, and a retreat of the dominant grasses, especially C. villosa, accompanied by a remarkable increase in the cover of mosses was recorded.

Internal guidelines in accounting of a chosen company

The goal of the submitted treatise "Internal guidelines in accounting of a chosen company" is to analyze contemporary internal guidelines. The aim of this work is to suggest new internal guidelines in a chosen firm. The guidelines are developed on a basis of a comparison with available legislative and with recommendations in publications. First part of this work is mainly about its theory. The second part then, is about the practices with internal guidelines, where -- in the beginning - are mentioned the basic information about the chosen company, its organization chart, then the analysis of the up-to-date guidelines is finished and finally several new particular internal guidelines are designed.
