Heating of a residential building

The objective of this bachelor thesis is to design heating and hot water production in an apartment block. The theoretical part is based on the topic of the preparation of hot water. The calculation part includes the calculation of heat losses, the suggestion of heat transfer surfaces, the dimensioning of pipes and the suggestion of the heat source for heating and warm water. Gas condensing boilers are applied as a heat source. They are located in the technical room. The preparation of hot water and the heat consumption measurements in flats are solved by district heating substations.

This bachelor thesis consists of three parts - theoretical, numerical and project. In the theoretical part, different types of heating for apartment buildings are dealt with. The numerical part is focused on individual parts of the heating system in the apartment building. As the heat source a cascade of gas condensing boilers was chosen. A flat station is for heating warm water and its distribution to each dwelling unit. The technical report and detailed documentation are dealt with in the last project part.

Bachelor work consists of theoretical and numerical part. In the theoretical part deals with various methods of heating in apartment buildings. The numerical part deals with individual part of the heating system in the apartment building. For heating the apartment building was chosen central heating system with indirect hot water. As the heat source was chosen gas heat pumps in combination with condensing boilers.

A Family House with Pool - heating

The main objective is to design an appropriate solution of heating system and heat sources for the detached house. The detached house has an accumulator tank serving for hot water heating, heating-system water heating and water in pool circulation heating. The primary heat source is a fireplace insert with heat exchanger. The accumulator tank can be also heated by solar thermal collectors or gas condensing boiler. Underfloor heating system serves for heating particular rooms.

Heating of a High School

The introduction of theoretical part deals history of floor heating. Here is an overview of the technology, which was for centuries used for floor heating. Further included in the introductory part of the aggregate materials used, which are used for floor heating, and used. In the next part of the theoretical introduction we are given the best known ecological heat source. These are mainly heat pumps and solar collectors. The last part is made in the proposal which are important values calculated for the design and seamless use of central heating system.

The second part covers the technical design of the theme and the third part deals with the solar system.

Heating of Family House-Heat Pumps

The bachelor’s thesis contains a proposal of the heating of a detached house and a proposal of a suitable heating source. In the first part of the thesis there is an explanation of basic kinds of heating systems and types of heat pumps. The second part includes the description of the building, the determination of its basic parameters, the calculation of the heat loss and the heat demand for the whole household. Then a proposal of a heating system and a proposal of a suitable heating pump follow. In the end there is the comparison of the expected heating costs.
