Monitoring the effect of lead pipes on drinking water quality for consumers

The thesis is divided into several parts. At first, there are written information from the laws and decrees concerning the lead pipeline, drinking water, observance of lead concentrations in drinking water, etc. Then the water connection, the ownership relations to the connection and the materials used for the water connection are defined. The next chapter deals with lead, lead pipeline, lead in drinking water and the legislative requirements for lead content in drinking water. Other part is about the health risks of lead in drinking water. These theoretical parts follow the practical part, which focuses on drinking water quality testing, which was in contact with the lead pipeline. This section describes drinking water sampling principles for determining the concentration of lead, the locations where the samples were taken, the methods used to determine the concentration, the description, the results and the evaluation of the information. The last chapter shows the methods and materials that remove lead from water.
Options of water hardnessing and softening

In the introductory part of this bachelor thesis, the research is focused on water hardening and softening technology, both in the technological process of water treatment and in water preparation directly to the consumer. It is possible to carry out the treatment at the consumer on physical and chemical devices. In the next part of this bachelor thesis there are examples of treated water in which the water has been confirmed. Part of this bachelor thesis is also the proposal of water softening directly to the consumer.
Pharmaceuticals in drinking water sources and possibility of their removal

Bachelor thesis deals with drugs in drinking water sources, and possibility of their removal. In the first part of the bachelor thesis describes the sources of pharmaceuticals in surface waters, which can be a source for drinking water. Below are described the concentration of drugs in the water and then the reader is familiar with the most frequently occurring drugs in the waters and their consumption. The second part of the bachelor thesis is devoted to Czech and foreign projects that deal with drugs in the drinking water. The third part describes the options for the removal of water by using various medicines water processes. At the conclusion of the work of the design laboratory experiment is described for removing the drug from the water.
