Design of a two-axis multi-spindle lathe carriage

This diploma thesis deals with the design of a two-axis multi-spindle lathe carriage. In the first part, there is made a research, and its aim is to find possible variants of design solutions. After the best rated variant was selected, the thesis further continues with the necessary technical calculations of the main design nodes such as a synchronous servomotor, ball screw, linear guide and bearing. The design itself was carried out with regard to calculations and the resulting model was examined in terms of dynamic stability. The subject of examination was to find the natural frequencies of the assembly and to determine the amplitudes of the oscillations which arise from the harmonic excitation force. Finally, Lobe diagrams for grooving and longitudinal turning operations were drawn.

Aromatické látky v tramínových odrůdách révy vinné

Abstract The aim of the thesis is to examine literature related to terpene compounds in Traminer grape varieties of wine. During the elaboration I focused on terpenic substances, which are the most important ingredient of these varieties. For the study I used the grapes of the Gewürztraminer, Děvín and Pálava. I assess the value of the terpenic substances in the mash of Gewürztraminer depending on the time. There are different varieties of harvested vineyards for a wider aromatic image. The following qualitative parameters were evaluated for individual musts: refractometric sugar, titratable acids, pH and aromatics measured by gas chromatograph. The result is a different content of terpenic substances. The assay was evaluated for Linalool, Geraniol, Nerol, Alpha-terpineol, Ho-trienol. The rating was for free and bound form. It has been unequivocally confirmed that increasing free maceration time also increases the content of free and total terpenic substances. For bound terpenes the values changed only slightly. The results have shown that the amount of terpenic substances is caused by a Grape variety, soil, subsoil, clone.

Cutting tools for deep drilling and their use in practice

This bachelor thesis deals with tools for drilling deep holes. The first part is focused on the basic description of the drilling process, sorting the tools according to their construction and last but not least, sorting of the systems used for deep drilling. In the theses is further elaborated an overview of materials for the production of cutting tools and ways of coating, which are used the most nowadays. There is a constant development in coating, because of the better mechanical, physical and chemical properties in this field. The last part is dedicated to the definition of the tools for deep drilling and their use in practice.

Image Analysis in Microscopy and Videokymography

The developed methods reconstruct light microscopy images of growing microorganisms in intervals between observations, measure particles in atomic force microscopy images, and evaluate parameters of vocal fold vibrations in videokymographic images. All three problems have been hitherto solved primarily visually. The proposed methods allow automatic or computer-aided processing of the image data, and thus facilitate the evaluation process. Performance of the developed methods was tested on real images; the results were comparable with ground truth or results of visual evaluation. Application of the developed methods is not limited to the specific type of image data; the methods can be used in general for processing of images with similar characteristics. Page 1

Automatic assembly of jigsaw puzzles from digital images

This thesis describes a new approach to automatic assembly of classical jigsaw puzzles by computer. The process involves processing scanned images of puzzle pieces, computing a solution based on piecewise compatibility and producing an image of the solution. Whereas previous approaches to this problem were mostly concentrated on using only the shape of the pieces, the method we proposed uses both shape and colour information. The method also introduced several improvements in different aspects of solving. The method was able to successfully solve a puzzle of more than 1000 pieces and thus outperformed previous algorithms.

Creating Panoramic Images from Photographs Acquired with Different Camera Settings

When taking pictures for the purpose of creating panoramic images, it is more convenient to adjust camera settings for each image separately to keep the convenient brightness distribution. It usually leads to a set of images with differences in brightness must be corrected before stitching. The goal of this thesis is to propose solutions to adjust these differences and implement them in the application Panomedic. The first method is based on direct brightness level mapping in overlapping area of the images. The second method utilizes statistical values obtained from image brightness distribution. The method for searching the seam of stitching is also described. The resulting panorama image is without visible transitions between the input images.

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the analysis of the GEOPEN Ltd. company. The thesis contains an analysis and a consequent proposal for the development of the company’s business activities. The proposal contains the expansion of company activities by establishing an online shop which should contribute not only to the improvement of the company’s status on the market, but also to raising the saleability and the renown of the company.

Race Car Roll Cage

Master thesis is about increasing of protection the crew in race car with changes in its roll-over protective structure according to current safety rules. For examination was used the Finite Element Method. The products of this thesis are different variation of roll cages, which are tasked to increasing the safety of existent race car.
