Atypical development of sediments in the Prokop seam under layer in the Frenštát area
Fialová, V. ; Kožušníková, Alena ; Marečková, Kateřina
The presented paper is supposed to refer to a fact, that except from the frequently described „ganister“, in the Prokop seam under layer also occurs zone of sediments with atypical development. Analyzing the thickness of this zone in the explorative field Frenštát – west, the thickness extent of this zone was assessed and the area with the maximum depth of atypical development of sediments was defined.
Excursion guide – sediments of Devon, Upper Carboniferous and Neogen in the Hranice area
Konečný, Pavel ; Kožušníková, Alena ; Vašíček, Zdeněk
This paper – geological guide deals with the geological situation in the area of Hranice na Moravě. It is described the quarry in Hrabůvka with LowerCarboniferous sediments, quarry Skalka with Upper Devonian limestone, Hůrka locality with outcrop of contact of Upper Devonian and Lower Carboniferous sediments and Abyss of Hranice.
Comparison of coal briquettes permeability from mylonitized and undisturbed zone in 409/4 seam (Zofiówka Mine)
Kožušníková, Alena ; Wierzbicki, M.
The paper presents some experiments with gas flowing through coal briquettes made of mylonitic or undisturbed coal. The results of measurements of the gas flow, under triaxial stress state conditions, showed exponential dependence between permeability and confining pressure. Comparison of the measurements results, carried on briquettes made of mylonitic coal and made of normal coal, with the same porosity, showed that the disturbed coal material had higher permeability than undisturbed one.
Czech - Polish Conference on the Coal Basins Geology /7./
Kožušníková, Alena
The 7th Czech - Polish conference on the coal basins geology represents a traditional meeting of specialists, mainly from CR and Poland. Within the frame of the conference there are presented papers concerned with wide problems - coal basins characterization, sedimentary progression and structural geology of the coal basins, stratigraphy, petrography of rocks and coal, physical and chemical properties of coal and rocks, palynology, creation of digital models of the coal basins.
Fluorescenční mikroskopie a analýza obrazu mikroporušení hornin
Ščučka, Jiří ; Kožušníková, Alena ; Obara, B.
The paper presents analytical methods used at the Institute of Geonics ASCR for quantitative analyses of micro-fracturing arising in rocks under various loading conditions in laboratory. Primarily optical fluorescence microscopy and image analysis of sections saturated by fluorescence dye are used to these purposes. The full-automatic image analysis method for determination of intensity and distribution of micro-cracks in rock specimens is presented in the paper as well as the formerly used manually procedure.
Změny fyzikálních vlastností granitu vlivem teploty a režimu temperace
Kožušníková, Alena ; Konečný, Pavel ; Pivodová, Kateřina
With the increasing temperature a decrease in the ultrasonic wave velocity, bulk density, strength, modulus of elasticity and an increase in permeability, porosity were observed. Influence of temperature on strength and elasticity modulus of granite appeared until at higher temperatures (above 500°C) and more noticeable changes of physical properties were observed for shock tempering specimens.
Microhardness of bituminous coal from Ostrava-Karviná Coalfield - review of archive data and possibility of further development of problems
Martinec, Petr ; Kožušníková, Alena
A review of archive data of Vickers microhardness (VHN) of vitrinite from bituminous coal from the Czech part of the Upper Silesian Coal Basin and comparison with a new experiments are given. Precise determination of the regression function Vickers microhardnes number vs.load of Vickers pyramid in the interval <0,01-0,5 kg> for individual bituminous coal samples with volatile matter Vdaf in the interval <10-36%> with low ash content (<5-7%) is basic condition for subsequent studies.
Measurement of coke porosity by image analysis methods
Ščučka, Jiří ; Kožušníková, Alena
An effective method for visualization and quantitative analysis of coke porosity is presented in the paper. The method is based on image processing and analysis combined with fluorescence microscopy of impregnated coloured preparations and enables the determination of percentage portion of pores in the coke, mean pore-size, mean cell-wall thickness and their distribution.
Physical properties of carboniferous and permian rocks: comparison
Konečný, Pavel ; Kožušníková, Alena ; Singh, S. K. ; Ščučka, Jiří
Results of tests of mechanical properties of Carboniferous rocks from Czech republic and Permian rocks from India and their comparison are presented on this paper. Influence of degree of coalification, mineral (maceral) composition and diagenesis on physical properties is visible from these experiments.
Coal clast in the upper carboniferous sediments - environment, speed of transportation, alteration and history of diagenesis (Upper Silesian Coal Basin)
Martinec, Petr ; Kožušníková, Alena
Coal clast in upper carboniferous sediments in the Czech part of Upper Silesian Coal Basin - sedimentary environment, transport conditions, diagenesis and analysis of source areas.
