Design of Automation of Some Steel Structures Elements
Kopeček, Josef ; Brdečko, Luděk (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
The aim of the presented thesis is to create a program for automatic assessment of bolted and welded connections. The program uses procedures mentioned in the ČSN EN 1993-1-8. The comparison of the program is verified by the comparison of suitable chosen examples of analytical solution. The purpose of the program is to make the draft of bolted and welded connections more efficient.
Static Analysis and Modelling of Steel Structure by Finite Element Method
Vojtek, Jiří ; Brdečko, Luděk (referee) ; Kršík, Jakub (advisor)
The creation of finite element model of steel structure in Scia Engineer program. The evaluation of calculated stresses between linear and nonlinear calculation on selected construction frame. The comparation of increased bearing capacity with using nonlinear calculation instead of linear calculation.
Static analysis of flexibly supported on structures
Šnajdárková, Jana ; Brdečko, Luděk (referee) ; Vlk, Zbyněk (advisor)
This work focuses on comparing the static analysis on the various types of models. It is calculated as manual calculations and in software RFEM. Without use of the software are created simplified beam model on fixed and flexible supports and to them are calculated support reactions, shear forces and bending moments. One part focuses on the calculation of the reduction of bending moments, to achieve more accurate results. In the program are created models of rod and models of space, which are composed of surfaces. There is also created a model of the split rod to form a reduction of the bending moments over the supports. The last model is a beam with two separate chambers, which are fixed to the plate and defined as ribs which cooperates with the plate. Internal forces on all models is then compared.
Static solution of timber structure
Burza, Martin ; Zídek, Rostislav (referee) ; Brdečko, Luděk (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis is focused on an analysis of a wooden house truss. The first part deals with the load acting on spatially complex roof structure which is modeled in the Scia Engineer 2012 analysis software. Furthermore, the work considers the most stressed cross sections of wood elements and selected joints. In conclusion, the Bachelor´s thesis evaluates the original construction design.
Design and assessment of reconstruction of historical timber structure
Nováková, Ľubica ; Zídek, Rostislav (referee) ; Brdečko, Luděk (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis “Design and evaluation of rehabilitation of historic timber structures” is engaged in design and evaluation new replacement elements – proteases. It solved also design and evaluation connections between new and original elements. Proteases are designed, because of damage historic timber structure in complex Castle Žehušice. On the basis of project documentation is created computational model of characteristic structure section. Connections and new elements are assessed on the first limit state – Ultimate limit state. For the analysis computational model is used program SCIA Engineer 2012.
Stability solution of framed structures
Baxant, Radek ; Brdečko, Luděk (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the subject of slenderness bars’ stability assessment, especially in the steel structures. Before the assessment of bars in the frame constructions, we search for the influence of the computational model’s settings on the final result. The initial geometrical imperfections are examined on the model of Euler’s bar. The influence of the rigidity of girders on the poles’ buckling length is examined on the basic frame construction. The buckling lengths are assessed in the comparison with the figures we got from the statistical tables and the computational software. The influence of construction’s initial tilt and its replacement by the system of outer forces is examined on the frame structure. Three-hinged frame structure with variable cross-section member is designed then and the influence of non-linear calculations on the inner forces is studied. In the complex frame assessment, the influence of the number of parts of variable cross-section member on the bars’ buckling length is examined.
Behavior of traditional carpentry structures
Šafránková, Lucie ; Brdečko, Luděk (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis “Behave of traditional carpenter structures“ analyzes the behavior of traditional timber roof trusses. Based on the actual design of roof trusses tree-dimensional computational models are created, individual structural elements are assessed on the first and second limit state and one connection are considered. For the analysis of planar and tree-dimensional model programme SCIA Engineer 2011.1. is used.
Static Analysis of certain types of timber structures
Čáslavová, Sandra ; Brdečko, Luděk (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on analyzing a timber roof trusses, identifying and evaluating differences in their behavior. The thesis is aimed to review conventional trusses, create plane models which are then compared with each other. From selected truss was used to create a 3D model, on which are key joints are reviewed. Scia Engineer 15.2.140 program is used to create an expert opinion. This program is based on FEM principle.

Solution methods of composite beams
Jamal, Dany ; Zídek,, Rostislav (referee) ; Brdečko, Luděk (advisor)
Solutions of composite beams encounter some specific problems, such as shrinkage and creep of concrete, cracking of concrete and plasticity of steel, partial interaction of elements or history of erection and loading process. These factors and others affect the distribution of internal forces along the beam, the distribution of stresses along the cross-section and also stiffness and deflection of beams. The goal is to describe and compare methods for analysis of composite steel and concrete beams by more simplified approaches allowed by Eurocode with more advanced techniques. The studies will be carried out on the simply supported and continuous beams designed with respect to Eurocode 1, 2, 3 and 4.
