Invasive species - the general public survey

Invasive alien species are species that which is spreading rapidly, causing economic and economic damage, and generally have an effect on human health. Represent a major threat to global biodiversity, their presence has negative impacts on native plant and animal communities. The spread of invasive alien species is currently unintentional and is associated mainly with the development of transport and communication networks, and the development of global trade.
Availability of information on invasive alien species is one of the most important factors in how it can be improved control the spread of invasive alien species in the Czech Republic. Providing information to the public in the Czech Republic is very weak. Anchoring the issue of invasive alien species in the Czech legislation is still very messy and inconvenient.
The main aim of the thesis is to undertake a survey on the topic: Invasive species - a survey aimed at the general public. Sociological research is conducted using the snowball, which makes the sample has been collected about 100 samples. Collected data were statistically evaluated by chi-square test of goodness of fit. Of processed questionnaire can be generally stated that the respondents have a closer awareness of invasive alien species. Knowledge of the theme mainly differ in the different age categories and professions.

Proposal of cycling route Liběchov-Dubá

The aim of this thesis is a project of a cycling route between the towns Liběchov and Dubá. The area of interest is located in the Landscape Park Kokořínsko - Mácha´s Region and goes through the Central Bohemian, Liberecký and Ústecký Regions. There are two nature reserves in this area: Lower Liběchovka Wetlands
and Upper Liběchovka Wetlands. The current condition of the lands in question has been assessed and the project has been produced based on fieldwork.
The thesis brings introduction of bike touring in the Czech Republic as well as in some European countries and the principles and procedures in projecting cycling route networks. It provides an insight into the history and present of the sites along the cycling route.
The output of this thesis is a price calculation for development of the missing parts, map documents where both the existing route networks and projected sections are marked, a price calculation for the cycling route facilities and a list of owners
of the lands in question.
The cycling route project aims to attract bike tourists into the area of interest, thereby making the micro-region more attractive.

Invasive Alien Species - An Investigative Survey Aimed at the General Public

This diploma thesis deals with the issues of biological invasions on the general lay public and examines their level of awareness and knowledge of invasive alien species, in particular, plants and animals. The theoretical part is devoted to the basic characteristics of invasive and non-native organisms, through literature. The practical part investigates in detail specific responses of a sample of respondents defined in terms of two different model areas - the city of Prague and the countryside. The practical part uses the method of a survey questionnaire. The practical part also describes the most important aspects of the survey, primarily the preparation, structure, conduct and analysis of results. Finally the results are compared with results of survey conducted in a different area.
