Letáková, Veronika ; Vitásková, Hana (advisor) ; Přáda, Jan (referee)
The theme of my thesis is Active management of labour and its effects on woman's psyche. The work is devided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical section describes labour and stages of labour, its active management and psyche of women during their pregnancy and after the labour. The main aim of the practical part of my bachelor thesis was to find out whether women have a clue about what is active manegement of birth and how they felt during the intervention in labour. To achieve the aims of quantitative research method has been selected in the form of a questionnaire survey. Research was conducted using a questionnaire which women fill voluntarily and anonymously. 238 women completed the questionnaire, 235 questionnaires were used for the research. The research has found that more than half of women have no idea what active management of labour is. As we assumed in our hypotheses, most women were informed and had the choice of the interventions in childbirth and the positive feelings of individual interventions outweighed the negative feelings. Furthermore, our hypothesis has been confirmed, that more tearful and anxious are women after childbirth with episiotomy and greater injury than women with less or no injury. Similarly, the hypothesis that a delivery with epidural...

Hitzingerová, Milada ; Šmatláková, Lenka (advisor) ; Přáda, Jan (referee)
My bachelor thesis deals with the issue of birth injuries and their infuence on the sex life of the woman. It is composed from two parts: theoretical and research. Theoretical part deals with the definition of birth injury, its known types and ways it can be healed. Also I analyze how birth injury can affect sex life of women. The theoretical part also include information on the possibilities of faster recovery from birth injury. The researh section is focused on interviewing women on their experience of labour and at the end i summarize information about how well they are informed about methods of preventing birth injury and how the injury influences their sex life. For the research i made a questionare, which was posted online on different social media in groups, which are related to pregnancy. The questions are multichoice or the answers can be given directly. The questionare was only for women, who already gave a birth and only spontaneous delivery rather then caesar section. The results have shown that mothers are well informed about the possibilities of preventing a birth injury but infomation are not from relevant source. Other results show that those who used some of the methodes of preventing birth injury, as perineum massage, aniball and more, had smaller birth injury and faster and less...
Cardiotocography in midwifery practice
Bartusková, Simona ; Pařízek, Antonín (advisor) ; Přáda, Jan (referee)
The subject matter of this bachelor thesis has been to create a research identifying the knowledge of the CTG interpretation according to FIGO 2015, both in the theoretical field as well as in the framework of practical skills. Cardiotocography is an integral part of midwife daily routine and a useful method to identify and interpret the lack of oxygenation of the fetus. Therefore, it is a great benefit in terms of reducing the prenatal morbidity and mortality. The work aims at the employment of this method in a deeper and more complex way. The theoretical part focuses on the relevant knowledge up to now, the analysis of CTG, on the recommended processes in the evaluation of the antepartal and intrapartal fetal heart rate monitoring (as it puts emphasis mainly on the changes introduced by the new FIGO 2015 recommendations), on the pathophysiology of fetal hypoxia and last but not least on the nursing care of the midwives in pursuance of FHR monitoring. Using the anonymous questionnaires we tested the theoretical knowledge and practical techniques in the interpretation of CTG by the new guidelines at the Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics. Three groups of respondents were addressed, female students of 3rd year bachelor studies (Midwife branch of study), midwives working in delivery rooms and young...
Prediction of spontaneous preterm labor - role of midwife
Plojharová, Tereza ; Pařízek, Antonín (advisor) ; Přáda, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of premature birth prediction. Premature delivery is one of the most serious problems in obstetrics and the cause of many perinatal complications. The incidence in the Czech Republic today is around 7,2 %. The problem of prediction of this serious pathology is false negativity or converselyfalse positivity. Regarding the latter, women are unnecessarily hospitalized and treated. It is very important to find a method that could detect as many impending premature births as possible and at the same time show the lowest possible false positivity. However, this is very difficult. Premature birth is caused multifactorial effects. The aim of the study was to determine the premature birth prediction using vaginal ultrasound cervicometry in combination with the examination of fetal fibronectin levels in the transvaginal fluid and the effectiveness of the QUIPP algorithm in predicting the premature birth. These goals were accompanied by 6 hypotheses that helped to fulfill the goals. From January 2019 to March 2020, asymptomatic women with a high risk of premature birth in the week of pregnancy 22+0 to 25+6 were examined. Also, women who then gave birth at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the First Faculty of Medicine and General Teaching Hospital in...

Klejová, Nikola ; Čábela, Radek (advisor) ; Přáda, Jan (referee)
This thesis is split into two parts, theory, where I primarily define terminology of perinatology, medical staff, perinatology itself in Czech republic, neonatology, which the Apolinář centre is very well known for. And also research theory. Second part is so called practical part of the bachelor thesis, which concerns the area of research into satisfaction of mothers in care in the perinatology centre of Apolinář in Prague. It is primarily focused on satisfaction of mothers with intimacy, privacy, care, staff behaviour, quality of food, cleanliness of the facility and the impression of the environment, in which the woman experiences the most important moments of her life. Research has been conducted by surveying mothers in care of the facility, as the simplest most effective, anonymous and least time consuming method. This research has pointed out the strong ant he weak points of perinatology centre. The weak points are also addressed in more detail in chapter ,,Recommendation and prevention", where I try to present viable solutions for those issues. The aim of this work was to determine the level of care in the maternity hospital at Apolinář and based on the results to recommend appropriate improving measures not only for the care of mothers and newborns. Keywords: perinatology, mother, maternity...
