Roof slab above the car park between residential houses
Michna, Ondřej ; Kalenda, Jan (referee) ; Perla, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the design of roof slab in two options. Internal forces are calculated by software rfem. The thesis also includes design of column, manual calculation and comparision with finite element method and drawings.
The strengthening of the reinforced concrete structure for the steel superstructure
Tůma, Pavel ; Kalenda, Jan (referee) ; Perla, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis analyze reinforced concrete construction, which is loaded by new steel superstructure with brick cladding. The necessary strengthening of construction is solved by using carbon fibre reinforced polymer plates. Software RFEM 5 is used for calculation of internal forces. All checks are made in Excel.
Reinforced concrete construction of apartment building
Fusek, Aleš ; Kalenda, Jan (referee) ; Perla, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of reinforced concrete structure with masonry walls. Scia Engineer was used for finite element analysis. The spatial models include nonlinear behavior of masonry. Furthermore, the ceiling slab above the 1st floor, beams and columns were designed.
The electrical discharge machining in production of shaped moulds
Kalenda, Jan ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
In this diploma thesis is theoretically written about the production of shaped cavities using electroerosive sinking. The possibilities of usage and the production of electrodes for own usage likewise development of technology, tools and machines for electroerosive machining. The quality of machined surface and surface layer using own process of electroerosive sinking of shaped cavities are as well mentioned in this project.
Prestreesed concrete slab
Benčíková, Mária ; Kalenda, Jan (referee) ; Perla, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of a reinforced concrete floor structure above the 1st floor of a two-storey pavilion of a spa complex. It is a point-supported slab with the use of prestress. The design is converted with respect to the required fire resistance of structures. The analysis of internal forces is performed by manual calculation using the method of spare frames and using the computational software RFEM 5.23, which uses the finite element method. The design is made according to the group of standards ČSN EN.
Modern methods of electroerosion machining including consequential finishing methods
Kalenda, Jan ; Zemčík, Oskar (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
- Basic method electroerosion machining cutting - Areas using electroerosion machining cutting - Used completing method - Instances usage - Estimation method, technical economic usage - Juxtaposition methods

The thesis is focused on the discoursive analysis of the Great Pardubice Steeplechase phenomenon. The race, which is considered to be the most difficult and the longest hurdle race on the European continent. In the introductory part is explained the metodology of discourse analysis, together with the technique of data collection. The work also includes a brief history of Par force hunting, which was the cause of this race creation. The empirical part of this thesis is focused on the analysis of articles from local newspapers of the period from 1880 to 2011. For greater clarity was divided into four chapters - four different historic periods - that influenced the development of the Great Pardubice Steeplechase. There is also a chapter analysing interviews contents, which were conducted on this topic. The work introduces the reader with an unusual view of this race, as the previously released publications were dedicated only to outstanding personalities whose fates were linked with the race.
