The Bendl Choir (A Contribution to the Musical Life in the Ceska Trebova Region)

The diploma thesis aims to map musical activities in Ceska Trebova. It documents the emergence of musical bodies which have influenced musical life in the town. It also explains the origins of the Bendl Choir, and its development throughout the decades. The thesis highlights the impact of time on the repertoire and conductors who have led it, and traces the interest of the inhabitants in music and singing in general. The diploma thesis incoporates the necessary theoretical chapters, namely an introduction, followed by an analysis of various materials, a conclusion, and a reference to sources used in the thesis.
