Kramerová, Jana ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology Candidate: Mgr. Jana Kramerová Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Jiří Lamka, CSc. Title of rigorous work: Health status of chamois population in Lužické Mountains and evaluation of anthelmintic efficacy of albendazole In the course of 2002 and 2007 years the parasitological verifications in wild chamois population living in Lužické Mountains, the Czech Republic, were realised. Actually dominating parasite is small lungworm Muellerius capillars, among other parasitic findings were identified common roundworms of intestinal tract and tapeworm of Moniezia species. Based on recognised parasitostatus the administration of albendazole was selected for control of found parasitoses. The granulate of drug was mixed with feed during the winter season and in the form of medicated feed administered to chamois. The efficacy of drug administrations were regularlly evaluated, optimal findings were found for albendazole dosing 5.0 mg/kg of body weight administered in 5 consecutive days.

On pharmacokinetic of single administration of albendazole in mouflon (Ovis musimon)
Vokřál, Ivan ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
Name: Ivan Vokřál Title: On pharmacokinetic of single administration of albendazole in mouflon (Ovis musimon) Abstract: This diploma thesis contributes to the knowledge of albendazole pharmacokinetics in mouflon (Ovis gmelini musimon) treated by a single administration of albendazole in a dose of 30,0 mg/kg of body weight. Two separate experiments were realised. The first one was carried out on 12 mouflon ewes divided into 4 groups. Groups of the animals were gradually culled at the time intervals of 4, 6, 8 and 10 hours after the albendazole administration. The samples of the blood (serum), bile from gallbladder and terminal bile ducts were withdrawn. The concentration of albendazole (ABZ) and its major metabolites albendazolsulphoxide (ABZSO) and albendazolsulphone (ABZSO2) were determined in samples of biological materials by HPLC method. To determine the ratio of ABZSO enantiomers, the HPLC method with chiral column was used. The second experiment carried on 2 animals (time interval 6 hours) extended and partially confirmed previous results. The increase in blood concentrations of albendazole and its metabolites until the eighth hour after the administration is evident. In later time intervals decrease in concentrations was documented. The concentrations of ABZSO and ABZSO2 between the bile...
Veterinary drugs registered in the Czech Republic - recorded trends
Mitášová, Michaela ; Ducháček, Lubomír (advisor) ; Lamka, Jiří (referee)
VETERINARIES REGISTERED IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC - DEVELOPING TRENDS Michaela Mitášová Abstract The aim of this dissertation was to make a summary of veterinary medical preparations registered in years 1995 - 2006 in the Czech Republic. Individual preparations were reviewed in these categories: 1. Registry number and the SUKL code 2. The land of producer 3. Drug form 4. Indicating group 5. Animal species to which the drug is intended for 6. Newly registered medical preparations We were comparing the period of years 1995 - 2000 and 2001 - 2006. The head task of this dissertation was to map out developing trends in individual categories. As the main source for getting data we used the AISLP programme. For the period of years 1995 - 2000 it was version 2000. 3 actualised by 1. 7. 2000, for the period of years 2001 - 2006 it was version 2007. 2 actualised by 1. 4. 2007. After we got all necessary information we made a conclusion that in years 1995 - 2000 there is a considerable fall of registration of preparations. On the contrary in years 2001 - 2006 there is mild increase with the maximum of registration of preparations in 2004 and following intense fall. The rise of the registration of prepararions was caused by increase of numer of newly registered effective preparations in different drug forms and increase of...
Effect of sampling and storage on larvoscopic results of coprological materials
Lovecký, David ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
David Lovecky Tutor: Prof. RNDr. Jiři Lamka, CSc. Institute of Pharmocolgy and Toxikology The aim of this thesis was to examine the influence of obtaining and storage of excrement samples on larval investigation results for the European Mouflon or wild-sheep (Ovis musimon). This experiment is justified due to the large variations of results in previous studies that focused on quantitative larval investigation methods. We proceeded in two ways: a. The first method, based on larval science, involved fresh dropping samples collected from areas frequented by mouflon. Based on laboratory measurements, according to Baermann, we came to the conclusion that freezing it for a period of 56 days at a temperature of -11 degrees Celsius had no effect on larval activity. In fact, the number of larva slightly rose even after an eight-week period of continual refrigeration. These results can be linked to the findings of Erhardova, Rysavy and Cabernet. b. The second method was the sampling of excrement from the disemboweled intestines of animals removed from breeding herds. Unfortunately, during this larval science study, we weren't able to obtain a suitable sample along the entire length of the large intestine and our measurements reflected only physiological functions. In short, the further way the excrement from the...

Jungmann, Michal ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biochemical Sciences Candidate: Michal JUNGMANN Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Jiří LAMKA, CSc Title of diploma thesis: Parazitostatus of bezoar goat in game preserve Vřísek and results of its control This thesis is devoted to the scatology examination of faeces goat animals (Bezoar goat, preserve Vřísek, Lesy ČR, s. p. Hradec Králové). In the work was used larvascopic examination aimed at small lungworm, summarized are the results of earlier (period 2000- 2008) and current investigations, which were part of the implementation of the grant project (years 2008-2011). In the larvascopic findings were always demonstrated lungworm Muellerius capillaris, its presence in the breeding very negatively complicated the overall health of goat animals. It was therefore initiated anti-parasite program (contact feeding of ivermectin every 6 months), during which was achieved significant reductions larvascopic findings.
Parasitostatus of red deer population in Krkonoše (Czech Republic) a results of antiparasitic control
Vávra, Vojtěch ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
THE ABSTRACT The thesis: Parasitostatus of red deer population in Krkonoše (Czech Republic) and results of antiparasitic control Made by: Vojtěch Vávra The thesis deals with the occurrence of endoparasites in red deer population, held in selected overwintering enclosures in Krkonoše Mountains - in Bílá Voda, Hlušiny and Michlův Mlýn. During winter season 2007/08 samples of faeces were collected in these enclosures, which were consequently examined larvoscopically in a quantitative and qualitative way and ovoscopically in a qualitative way. During this season anthelmintic treatment Cermix a. u. v. was applied as well. In pre-treatment samples high prevalence of Elaphostrongylus cervi was found, in 85,1 % of samples. The treatment efficacy was set in enclosures Bílá Voda and Michlův Mlýn. In Bílá Voda the efficacy reaches 43,2 % and in enclosure Michlův Mlýn reaches 86,1%.

Myšíková, Markéta ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Ducháček, Lubomír (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology Candidate: Markéta Myšíková Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Jiří Lamka, CSc. Title of diploma thesis: Parasitostatus of red deer population in farm and results of its control This thesis deals with the evaluation of internal parasites in imported red deer population (New Zealand, Hungary). In the period beginning with the first health examination in 2007 through 2010 were collected faecal samples from animals and subjected them by parasitologic testing for infectious stages of gastrointestinal tract round worms, flukes, and tapeworms. We used qualitative ovoscopic examination and quantitative methods of larvoscopic examination. We found that regular treatments with marocyclic lactone based on ivermectin ensured sufficient efficacy against all types of parasites that occurred in the tested population of red deer (Fajdal, Slovakia). Keywords: red deer, parasites, farm, ivermectin
