Přes značný technický pokrok, ať už označovaný jako mechanizace či automatizace až po využívání moderních technologií, existuje řada úkonů a operací, které musí vykonávat lidská síla, většinou proto, že odpovídající technická řešení jsou značně nákladná. Nesprávná či nebezpečná manipulace je příčinou různých tělesných potíží, které mohou vyústit v trvalá onemocnění muskuloskeletálního aparátu

The Czech Trace in the History of Computer Technology

This publication traces the history of selected branches of computer science in the Czech lands and Czechoslovakia, spanning the period from the end of World War II to the 1990s. The book originated within the project of the Ministry of Culture NAKI II – A Century of Information: the World of Informatics and Electrical Engineering – The Computer World Inside Us, held in honor of the 70th anniversary of the modern establishment of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague, and to mark the 40th anniversary of the death of the distinguished Czech scientist Antonín Svoboda. The publication is focused on three fundamental domains: the first one portrays the general development trends in computer technology (Reviewing Computer Technology Developments), the next section is devoted to the Czechoslovak/Czech (or rather Svoboda´s) computer school, showcasing the upswing of Czechoslovakia´s computer technology, associated primarily with the person of Antonín Svoboda, his colleagues and the achievements of the Research Institute of Mathematical Machines, while accentuating Czech/Czechoslovak contributions to the overal upsurge of information technology. The final part describes recent and contemporary advances in IT, particularly since the 1980s, featuring the Internet, the web and virtual reality. This publication provides an insightful invitation to reflect on the impressive progress of this particular branch, namely its giant technological leap made over the past 70 years.

VERBA DOCENT (Current Methodology Possibilities and Good Practices of European Heritage Care) I

Jana Access to the widest possible range of information is the first precondition for the development of all specialised disciplines. Present-day heritage care and all the fields that shape it not only must reflect the national experience, but they must also be aware of the fact that they are part of the wider international context. Nevertheless, access to international sources can often be limited for various reasons. The National Heritage Institute decided to at least partially eliminate this obstacle through the newly established VERBA DOCENT series to make available significant foreign sources. The first modest undertaking is the presentation of three texts by German preservationists, covering about thirty years of the monument preservation discourse. The texts date from the late 20th and early 21st centuries, i.e. the time when at least from the end of the 1970s a need for the repeated return to the crucial issues of care for tangible cultural heritage decidedly emerged along with the questioning of approaches that had long been regarded as fixed and unchangeable. The featured works include Manfred F. Fischer’s reflection essay ‘How Long the Artworks Last?’, Christoph Hellbrügge’s article ‘Yes to Conservation, No to Restoration” – The Heritage Care Myth?’, and Clemens Kieser’s text ‘Secret Aesthetics of Heritage Care: Discovered and Invented Cultural Monuments’. The texts are introduced in German originals along with their Czech translations and accompanied by brief comments and portraits of the authors.

In the Name of Socialism, in the Shadow of the Monarchy: Post-War Monument Care in Central Europe

The collection of studies on the history of post-war monument care is based on the international conference Monuments and monument care in Czechoslovakia and other Central European countries during the second half of the 20th century, which took place in the spring of 2021. Selected contributions by authors from the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Croatia or Hungary map the institutional development of monument care in the countries of the former Habsburg Monarchy, a significant part of which was located on the eastern side of the Iron Curtain. The book thus offers not only a valuable comparison of the various systems of monument care within Central Europe, but also unusual material on the history of post-war European totalitarianism.

Lidský faktor a BOZP

Lidský faktor hraje zásadní roli pro zajištění bezpečnosti a ochrany zdraví při práci (BOZP), jelikož může mít značný potenciál pro vznik incidentů, jako jsou pracovní úrazy nebo havárie. Je snadné uvěřit, že incidenty vznikají v důsledku nedbalosti, nepozornosti, neschopnosti nebo bezohledného porušování pravidel ze strany člověka. Samotný incident však nemusí být pouhým selháním lidského faktoru, ale rovněž i selháním systému. Je tak zapotřebí nejenom porozumět lidskému faktoru, ale i systému, který jej obklopuje. Teprve až na základě tohoto porozumění by měly organizace provést hodnocení rizik, jehož součástí je i posouzení vlivu lidského faktoru na BOZP.

I v práci správně sedět, správně stát: praktická příručka pro bezpečnější pracovní prostředí

Pracovní činnosti vykonávané člověkem se rychle mění tak, jak se rozvíjí celá hospodářská struktura České republiky včetně jednotlivých oblastí průmyslu, obchodu a zemědělství. Zavádění nových poznatků a nástrojů do praxe prostřednictvím robotizace (digitalizace) znamená usnadnění vlastní fyzické práce z pohledu bezpečnosti a ochrany zdraví při práci (BOZP), ale rovněž představuje riziko vzniku nových problémů v souvislosti s výkonem práce vsedě nebo vestoje. Tato brožura poskytuje základní informace a nabízí přístupy potřebné k zajištění správné ergonomické pozice během pracovní doby. Materiál má sloužit jako pomůcka zaměstnancům i jejich zaměstnavatelům, manažerům, pracovníkům BOZP, zkrátka všem, kteří si tento problém uvědomují a chtějí ho adekvátním způsobem řešit

Ergonomie v praxi: správná praxe pro malé a střední podniky

Proto je publikace konstruována jako přehled možných cílů, na které jsou zaměřeny podnikatelovy aktivity, s uvedením nástinu korekčních zásad.

Nové technologie a BOZP: využití nových technologií ve vybraných oblastech pracovních činností

Průmysl 4.0 je velmi aktuální a často diskutované téma. Publikace Nové technologie a BOZP přináší čtenáři základní přehled o vybraných technologiích, které souvisejí s Průmyslem 4.0. Úvodem popisuje základní principy Průmyslu 4.0, které jsou uplatňované též ve vybraných oblastech pracovních činností. Pro účely této publikace bylo vybráno 5 oblastí pracovních činností, které jsou podle dostupných dat v České republice dlouhodobě považované za nejrizikovější. Jedná se konkrétně o oblast zpracovatelského průmyslu, logistiky, zemědělství, lesnictví a stavebnictví. Publikace obsahuje přehled technologií, které jsou v daných oblastech používané, případně přehled technologií, u kterých je v blízké budoucnosti možné očekávat jejich rozmach. Technologie, kterým byla pozornost věnována, by měly vést ke zvýšení bezpečnosti na pracovištích a zlepšení zdraví pracovníků. Opomenuta není ani oblast inteligentních osobních ochranných prostředků a chytrých pomůcek. Závěrem je nastíněné téma bezpečnosti na pracovišti související s využitím nových technologií a stručný právní úvod týkající se Průmyslu 4.0.
