Tourism analysis in a chosen town (Poděbrady)

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic "tourism analysis in the town of Poděbrady". The aim of the thesis is to analyze the present state of tourism in the town and to evaluate the potential for further development of tourism in the town. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first and the second chapter build the theoretical part and the last two chapters are practical. The first chapter defines basic notions in the field of tourism, the second chapter gives general information about Poděbrady. The third chapter is the analysis itself that includes list of attractions, tourism infrastructure, types of tourism developed in the town, institutions acting in tourism, number and segmentation of tourists, promotion, tourism products and a SWOT analysis. The last chapter evaluates tourism in the town (benefits from tourism, competitiveness) and the potential of the town and its utilization. There are also some improvement suggestions and recommendations and future plans of the town. Almost at the end, there is a comparison of Poděbrady with a foreign town.
